Do you ever try American Eagle jeans?, luckily their Slim AIrFlex Jeans (color 534) fit me (I'm 5'6) super well. But I haven't had any luck with the t-shirts and shirts.

Me Too hey, love seeing you in the comments! Thanks for the question. I'd opt for a dark brown (chocolate perhaps even oxblood) pair over a lighter brown/cognac. Keep in mind as a general rule of thumb, the darker brown, the more versatile it can be. Of course it comes down to your aesthetic and personal preference as well. Any brands you have in mind?

Their XS casual shirts are too tight for me (166cm and 138lbs). Their XS Flannel shirts and T-shirts are good fit though.

have you tried standard fit in small? I am about the same size as you, 5'5" 140 lbs i am afraid slim fit might be too tight after washing.

no I haven't, only slim small and slim xs which looks good on my frame, just a bit tight in the chest area. I think for you, slim small is a good bet.

in terms of shrinkage, there's not much if any at all.
