He was caught up in a big scandal around a dog-fighting ring and got a lot of heat over it, where he not only participate actively, but he funded most of the gambling and fighting operations. I actually think Ash wins this battle. A lot of his bars revolve around tropes of long running anime, or just straight up dissing technology, nothing really dissing *Ash*, just Pokemon in general, which just doesn't hit hard.
