The only claim about Lavender Town Syndrome proven real is that the music was changed in later games. Definitely a good Creepy Pasta from my past to hear brought up again though. Thing is, if they were messing with binaural beats with Lavender Town's original music as the media claims, it is actually POSSIBLE for people to be "manipulated" by it or have adverse reactions. I listen to BBs a lot for many different things--some are good for relaxing, some waking up, so on and so forth--and there is often an advisory to not listen for hours and hours on end, just in case. If the frequencies change throughout it enough, you are less likely to experience these kinds of effects, but it still isn't a given, and it can make you physically ill, for sure. Mostly depends on the person and the video, and all are different cases. I mean, just last night I put one on for studying, had an advisory on a 90m video suggesting not to listen to them for no more than that whole video the rest of the day, and I was feeling a bit ill just 5 or 10m in. FINALLY someone noticed the old man glitch reference, it's a classic glitch in pokemon r/b and if I'm not wrong, you'll get to face professor oak with a missingno, skeletal pokemons, and fully evolved starters with 100+ level, and yes, the glitch is done technically at the sea. I was like "Damn, no one's gonna get that"

ok, partially right and partially creepypasta, old man glitch has you do the catching tutorial then fly to cinnabar and surf on the edge of town to catch missingno, the oak battle was never programmed into the game, and the skeletal pokemon is from the white hand creepypasta

the glitch was the missingno glitch it was used to multiply one of the items in the item slot it focuses on and the part about the fight making people sick was a play on a banned episode "porygon, the cyber soldier" which caused alot of people in japan to have seizures because of all the red and blue flashing animation

A little interesting point the world of pokémon kinda follow Darwin's theory of evolution. Some people with a lot of free time looked trough it. Like how the birds pokémons beak are all different due to their diet and locations. Game theory, look it up.
