So here is the problem with Greninja. It isn't all that much without its bond phenomenon, which is pretty much non existent at this point as well + Greninja doesn't have the feats Dracovish has. Dracovish has been tested against Elite 4 level and champion level trainers and has won against them without the need of a gimmick - ergo... Dracovish is stronger than Greninja, due to it having fought stronger opponents than Greninja ever has done. The same issue is there with Dark as well... Krookodile has better feats than Greninja, so does Incineroar. Swellow is 100% not in top 3 if we look at feats for the Flying types. 3 is Talonflame, followed by Charizard and then Dragonite (Again, Dragonite has feats against Champion level opponents + solo'd a Mega user 2v1). For Dragon, its indeed a toss up between Dragonite and Dracovish, but i think Dragonite edges out Dracovish in terms of feats. So for Normal, Snorlax is deffo number 1, but you are 100% downplaying Tauros here, who has better feats than the Normal/Flying birds, except for Swellow. So Tauros should be number 3. So for the fighting type, there yet again is the problem. Compared to Infernape and Sirfetch'd, Lucario isn't all that much without its Mega Evolution (Its the same issue Greninja basically has). Sirfetch'd is strongest Fighting type, due to it having defeated an Elite 4 Mega without a battle gimmick itself + damaged Cynthias Garchomp heavily before Mega Lucario faced it, meaning thats a problem for Mega Lucario as a feat in itself. For Poison, i feel like Naganadel shouldn't count, as Poipole evolved while not with Ash and gained experience not being with Ash. So Ash didn't train it. I just see it as a cheap way for Ash to get a win against Kukui.

Heck, its kinda funny as well, because without the battle gimmick, Greninja doesn't have any feats to speak off, meanwhile Dracovish has defeated Elite 4 level and champion level trainers without the need of a Battle gimmick, ergo, Dracovish is always the strongest Water type by defeault because of those feats. This seems more like a popularity contest than anything, especially since he also downplayed Tauros, who has better feats than the other Normal/Flying types aside from maybe Swellow (And even that is a maybe). Its the same for Lucario... yes it defeated Bea and Raihan, but by no mean are they Elite 4 and Champion level in the anime... so by default Sirfetch'd should be stronger, since he defeated Elite 4 level Mega and defeated Champion mons without a gimmick.

Infernape battled charizard, lost, remembered that it had beat a legendary bird in the past, then thought that challenging and defeating moltres would prove itself worthy to battle charizard or even make him strong enough to finally beat charizard. Infernape doesn’t have anywhere near the feats that charizard has, and it was clearly shown to be below the level of a legendary bird, whereas charizard beat one. So it doesn’t make any sense that Infernape would be stronger than charizard.

I mean... Infernape isn't the strongest fighting type, since Sirfetch'd is a thing, who has defeated an Elite 4 level Mega and Champion level Pokemon, something Infernape hasn't done yet. Thats basically the problem, the Journeys mons should be at the top of the lists, because of the levels of the opponents.

But they became strong in short time due to Ash's skills by incorporating everything he learned. He really should train his other mons like oshawott, scraggy, snivy, corphish, buizel etc who can also evolve this time if they battle more under his command

@@jetguy128 Sure, they both fought on level ground and despite that, Garchomp wasn't a Mega, while Lucario was and still Lucario got nearly beaten. Lucario just isn't as strong as people make it out to be, because its a fan favorite, they often don't see its flaws (Same with Greninja). Even with Mega, Lucario gets outclassed by Dragonite, Dracovish and Sirfetch'd, because unlike Lucario, they don't need Mega evolution/battle gimmick to defeat stronger opponents.

Using similar “common sense” Charizard would not stop training nor be content until it was the strongest fire type in the lab as that’s a consistent character trait it has.
