​@@gooey448 just watched the video. First off hight is inconsistent in the anime you can't use that to determine Ash is older then ten. Next, just because Ash looks feels and act different, he is still ten, and has moments to remind you of that, such as Ash being Goofy. And also the reason Ash acts mature is because the director wanted a "Cool Ash" so all this is to say, he is not 16 15 14, but 10. Plus he is ten in future series if he really did age up be wouldn't be ten in alola and journeys. So once again, it's a lie based on facts, that are glazing at best. Sorry but these things just work me up, I hate misinformation. Hopefully this will help you improve for the future. :3

Greninja didn’t choose Ash because he was “worthy” or thought he’d make him stronger. It’s stated by Olympia that Greninja left all its previous trainers because a trainer wasn’t what it wanted. She says it’s because it wanted someone equal, someone it could love and be loved by. And I don’t think greninja left after Wulfric because of Ash, I remember a scene that heavily implied Greninja was going through the same thing as Ash, i.e. blaming itself for their loss and feeling spiritually defeated by their loosing streak. They both felt they failed each other and that’s why both ran off

I kid you not, I got called the N word for liking Greninja once, I got called an Ipad baby for liking Gen 6 in general, and in one comment section I I kid you not, every single positive comment had this one guy shoving his negative opinion of XY in everyone’s faces, and always replied with this smug superior attitude saying stuff like “ash was immature” “serena was just an object, not a real character” “the story if boring” etc. And whats worse, he said that the Orange Islands were better than XY.

8th grade me was OBSESSED with the Ash-Greninja plotline to the point it's become a core memory of my middle school days. My fav moments were the ones where people first reacted to the bond phenomenon and went "WOAH WHAT IS THAT?!". Ash's depression arc was the definition of peak fiction, and I learned the Japanese opening (Iku Z!) by heart. It's so embarrassing cuz I would walk up to classmates and flex that I new the Japanese lyrics, very cringe inducing LOOL. I loved the sun and moon anime, and I might actually prefer it overall, but NOTHING will ever reach the peaks and the hype I felt from the XYZ anime. It's always a treat whenever someone makes a video about the XYZ anime so thanks!

To be honest, Ash's maturity in Kalos was a huge focus on the show. The other characters routinely acknowledge his maturity and learn and grow because of it like Clemont, Serena and Sawyer. His chemistry with Sawyer and Serena works so well because of how they are both rookies and see him as a role model. The growth of these characters does highlight how much of an influence Ash was. That scene where Serena helps Ash get over it really shows how much she looks up to him. Also, the series included some elements that were quite mature and something I never expected in the Pokemon anime. Clembot's death is a good example because its not just a tragic passing that just happens and is never brought up again. The anime dedicates an entire episode after Lysander's defeat showing how it affects Clemont and the audience can feel it too given how Clembot also got a fair share of screentime. Also there was that one episode in the Kalos League where a guy who couldn't qualify for it tries to take out his frustration on Ash by battling him when he was supposed to get in the stadium for a battle. These things might be small but The Kalos arc really worked well as a slice of life that showed many aspects of the Pokemon world than just adventures of Ash and his group.

It was the Pokemon anime the OG viewers were waiting for. We got it with the only exception being the director didn't want Ash to win because he believed Ash could never win. Alan was a anti-ash because they had to have a way for Ash to lose because he was just that good of a protagonist that season. XYs backlash caused ash to win Sun and Moon and retire Ash in Journeys. I fully believe if there was no director meddling, Ash would have won, and that's enough for me.

You forgot the part of the team flare arc where Lysander basically tells Ash he and Greninja are the peak of human majesty and tries to brainwash them into being his cult’s messiah. With that said, I agree with Bonnie being the “glue.” Because of her the whole gang has such a lovely family-like dynamic. Serena is incredibly maternal towards her and Ash is like another big brother she can look up to and admire. Finally someone pointed out how the character design especially Ash's design was so much better and mature, the characters he journeyed with became better and better. Like Serena just joining for Ash later discovers her passion and actually does give Ash something to remember about her. Clemont and bonnie are good pair of siblings and have purpose in the story and they also gain confidence in their abilities like Clemont realizing that he needs to do better to give a good fight to his opponents at the gym battle leading to one of the best best Pokémon gym battle with Ash. The Mega Evolution was also such an amazing concept which really deserves a whole video on itself, some complain that not every pokemon can mega evolve but I think that BECAUSE NOT EVERY POKEMON can use it makes it even more majestic, powerful and rare, unlike the other gimmicks which are so accessible you don't even need to be surprised or feel excited about it! I remember when i was younger watching XY and I NEVER thought Ash was 10, Ash was 16+, no question. In my opinion it is more enjoyable to have someone older that you can aspire to be or look up to rather someone your age or younger. It begs the question, would Ash be as cool if they drew him like a 10 year old? In my opinion no. Either way Im pretty sure ive read somewhere that it is stated by the creators of the anime that Ash is not necceceraly 10 years old but they use the age as a sign of youth. FINALLY someone I can talk to about this!!! I agree with a lot of your video and these are things I wanted to add! XY The Series is the WHOLE reason why I made my way back to Pokémon in my adulthood. The art style is AMAZING and the story (after a ton of fluffy beginning episodes) is inspiring. Ash’s speech to Lysander is inspiring people to fight for the good of others and I LOVE it! It gives me chills every time I watch it. Especially the “needed or not needed? Who are you to decide?” And “I’m fighting for their tomorrow’s!” In terms of Ash and Serena, Ash directly credits Serena for helping with his Santaloon (Viola’s Gym - IDK how to spell it) Strategy and how she makes him a better trainer just like he is with her. His is just more overt in helping. For Clemmot and Bonnie, they show a relatable, healthy and realistic sibling bond. They tease each other, pick on each other, hurt each other’s feelings and love each other deeply. To add to Bonnie’s character, we are given sneak peaks to how she would be as a trainer in the movies and series. In the Diance movie, she instructs Dedene to nuzzle an enemy Greninja (quick on her feet like a trainer and Dedene listened even though it’s technically Clemmot’s Dedene) and we see Bonnie battle with Dedene with Serena against Team Rocket when they got separated in the woods. Yeah she might’ve been “annoying” at one point or the other, but that’s all the characters AND she’s a pure child - like 6-8… they can be annoying too at that age! I wish we got more backstory on Bonnie and Clemmot’s dad, Meyer. I would LOVE to see how he became Blaziken Mask and got a key stone and a mega stone. I think that would’ve been SO COOL to find out about. I wonder if he knows about Ampharos mega evolving too! XYZ also has really great movies. I think everyone is a hit and has a really good story there too and they’re mature (Volcanian Movie being about a ton of Pokémon that were abused by humans). I also think they had really epic scenes and played into each character’s strength and where they were at in their journey. And it added more depth to their character! I could go ON AND ON about the XY/XYZ Series. I’m so in love with it, I’m going to be Serena (the earlier version) for Halloween! Thanks for reading 💙

XY/XYZ will always be my favorite Pokémon series, nothing can replace this GOAT series and will always be an anime for me. When SM came it look more like cartoon, childish and too weird to enjoy, i can say Journeys art style looks better because it looks like it combine the sharp style from XY and smooth it a little from SM.

Xyz was my childhood. I remember watching it as a kid and loving it (especially the intro). But I don’t think I ever watched it properly, I kinda skipped some stuff and watched what I wanted which there is nothing wrong with. But earlier this year I stumbled upon it again and decided to watch it. This time properly so I watched all the episodes and the movies and it was great. Honestly I was mainly excited for xyz but it was still good. Andre watching it I got to truly appreciate it. But I got a bit addicted and watched 57 episodes in one day, to be fair it was summer break but that’s still bad anyways lowkey yapped but I highly recommend you rewatch it if your curios. The only bad things are team rocket because I swear at one point they were in every episode and how in the kalos league it just skips like half the battles.

This is hands down the best Pokémon anime series! Everything about it-the characters, the gang, the story, the settings, the BGM, the battles and the animation-is just perfect. I feel deeply connected to this series, and it’s everything I ever wanted Ash to be: cool, inspiring, and truly memorable. Serena is one of my all-time favorite anime characters. She’s incredibly relatable, and her growth throughout the series is nothing short of inspiring. Watching her journey was an absolute delight!

I really enjoyed XYZ as a kid and still do, but there are a few things I wish had been done differently. For one, Ash's team could have been better, Noivern didn’t seem to fit well, especially since he already had two flying types. there were so many cool Kalos Pokémon to choose from, so it felt like a missed opportunity. also, I’m disappointed with how the community treats Serena. It seems like the negative reception impacted how little the writers included her in Journeys (as revealed in the big Game Freak leak). still, despite all of this, XY holds a lot of nostalgia for me it’s what got me into Pokémon, and for all the amazing reasons you mentioned in your video♥.

I love XY, this with DP and SM are my favorites, tbh if you want to experience XY Series is better to start with the Road to Kalos Special, also watching the Mega evolution Special since in this we know more about Alain, and also the last 2 special where one is when Cilan return, and finally watch it in Japanese since like this it feels the nostalgia and the peak experience to watch XY series.

One of the fondest memories I have growing up is binging this show all summer back in 2016 on TwitchPresents. The only Pokémon anime I’ve watched to completion. The community all had inside jokes when certain things would happen, and at the end of the summer, the show ended and high school began for me.
