This is a great way to rewrite ash’s unova journey! It’s like a mix of both the anime and games unlike how they did it in canon, and this is a peak fiction and I also think it’s at the same level as lumios trainer zacs (which he doesn’t go my they user name anime more, his new username is zactoshi, which is a combination of his first name, and ash’s Japanese name, and I thought it was pretty cool) his rewrite for the sword and sheild anime was amazing and it did have some journeys call backs but it was done right, and he knew how to right a Pokémon anime series, and the same goes for you on this B&W rewrite! 😁👏

Love this story, kept Ash developing and didn’t reset him. I’m writing a few rewrites/ what ifs and am correcting that too

I like how Hugh reached the finals by surprising opponents with non-native Unova species. Smart play.

I wish we would have seen more of N in the actual anime like he is in here, staying on Ghetsis's side until almost the end of the story. That was part of what made him such an interesting character in the original games.

So for me I kept oshawott leavanny and pignite and krookodiel and got rid of the others so instead of unfesant I gave him archeops because it feels like an ash Pokemon and I evolved oshawott to a dewott

I also like the idea of Ash having an Archeops, which I mentioned in my subscriber special :) Dewott would also be cool with Ash.

I really liked the rewrite! Ash having a mentor role is so much better than the dumbed down BW version from the series. Though, I'm disappointed about the lack of Episode N, since it was the only thing I enjoyed about the original BW. But I'm sure the PWT will be well written~

Thanks. I didn't want to cut Episode N, but I ultimately felt like merging it with BWS2 was for the best to not drag things out for too long.

Imo, I think that Ash shouldve gotten to the finals with Virgil and Virgil reveals Sylveon and then thats why Ash goes to Kalos and we skip the Decolore Islands

while watching alot of these fan rewrites and things like that.. there's a common misconception. Ash's character. Ash is the type of person who VALUES a hardship of a battle, yes while i do agree that at some point Ash's decision making in battle is really realllllly stupid that what MAKES him Ash. He isn't always the type to use a pokemon for a certain gym because its more effective- he takes the approach that he BELIEVES they can win together. with this im not saying that you don't understand Ash's character, cause this rewrite is actually fucking amazing- But i do think alot of the battles go more left of his character then what he would usually do ( which is the point.. ) either way. I LOVE the addition of in game protags and characters.. I REALLLLY like the idea of the PWT becoming a whole THING instead of some one off arc.. I really wish you still added some anime esk power up moments a bit.. Like Bianca still having a Mienfoo during the league battle and it EVOLVING within the match ( kinda alluding to the ass pull cameron did but more to the fact that mienfoo evolves at a ridiculous high level) i honestly can't wait for more!

I can agree. I think BW overdoing Ash's (let's say, overly reckless character) is probably why I had this overwhelming urge to make Ash more of a 'expert' type than he probably would be instead of using more out of the box tactics that he's known for. Im making my rewrite i will make ash be one who is with zekrom and N with reshiram and also make same trio of traveling companions and hilda will be ash rival and i will make samurott ace

I think ash should've had Dewott instead of Pignite since I see Bianca with Emboar more than samurott and Ash could've had a better fire type like Darmanitan and Dewott really fits for ash

As I mentioned in the video, I let him keep Pignite because I felt it had the best development of the starters on his canon team. Also, the point of the rewrite wasn't to give him completely new Pokémon, like Darmanitan, but to limit him to 6 of his original team so all of the Pokémon could have better focus. But I admit that Ash with a Dewott would be cool.

@@IceMaster20108 Originally I was going to but I decided to leave it as Pignite since Unova was one of those teams where Ash had a bunch of unevolved Pokémon by the end, in this version; Pignite and Palpitoad.

@@IceMaster20108 Like I said, I thought it was fine for them to remain unevolved since was one of those teams where a lot of Ash's Pokémon remained unevolved in canon. I think Pignite and Palpitaod fit Ash well enough.

I didn't want to give him any brand new Pokémon, just remove the ones I thought were unnecessary. But Petilil would have been cute on the main cast.

I know I'm not the one who you were asking, but I'd like to give my input as well. It's a good build, but here's my version: Main Team 1. Pikachu (Male) 2. Rufflet -> Braviary (Male) 3. Tepig -> Pignite -> Emboar (Male) 4. Sandile -> Krokorok -> Krookodile (Male) 5. Shelmet -> Accelgor (Female) 6. Tirtouga -> Carracosta (Male) Reserves 1. Trubbish -> Garbodor (Male) 2. Deerling Winter Forme -> Sawsbuck Winter Forme (Male)

@@DrSmug-yj9ot That's a good Unova team for Ash. I definitely think that Sawsbuck, Garbodor, and Carracosta are unique choices. As for Scolipede and Braviary, however, they're not good choices. Scolipede is lot more suited for villainous characters and Braviary is a too obvious choice for Ash.

@@edmilmaldonado5756 Unfeazant sucks tho. Like it really didn't do a whole lot, plus Braviary's stats are better. And its more Battle-focused Nature is a better fit for Ash anyway. Also, as for the Scolipede arguement, you could say the same thing about the Krookodile line.

@@DrSmug-yj9ot Yeah, but Unfezant didn't get to do much because Ash caught too many Unova Pokémon, henceforth, less screentime for her. Also, I checked and found out that Unfezant has more defense, special attack, and speed than Braviary. Also, Unfezant can naturally learn Sky Attack by leveling up, while Braviary doesn't. Lastly, Pidove can caught at the beginning, while Rufflet had to be caught near the end. As for Krookodile, point taken, but he has redeeming qualities, has more better stats than Scolipede, and went to become Ash's strongest Pokémon from Unova

@@edmilmaldonado5756 I mean I kinda get where your coming from with Unfezant, but this is the anime, not the games. They could've come up with an excuse to give Ash a Rufflet, like maybe it was the Abandoned Pokemon, rather than Tepig. Also, another win for Braviary is its better movepool and higher Attack Stat that allow it to hit harder than Unfezant, it also has a higher Special Defense Stat. Also, again, the more battle-focused Nature suiting Ash better. Thiking about Scolipede some more, you're actually p right, so imma swap him out for Accelgor. As for how he gets Trubbish, well he catches the Trubbish from the Trubbish Squad Episode due to the Teacher being too stubborn to let it stick around. (She does come around eventually tho, and Ash allows Garbodor to stay at the school to help protect it. Don't worry, this ain't a release, the Teacher allows Ash to call on it in the future if need be.)
