Ash really needs a rework. He's still useful but his kit feels extremely outdated. His ultimate is slow and clunky to use, his shurikens are useless outside of the augment and even THEN, we have way better armor strip options. And his 3 .... uh..

As an ash main i knew Ash was going to lose this but i really appreciate your point of view. I like to think of ash as a whatever means necessary assassin. I have 5 different ash’s built all with different helminth builds and he is insanely versatile as a helminth frame.

two really great frames. Ash is really comfy, kullervo hits like a truck. Frankly I really would like DE to make at least 1 unique mod slot for warframe augments, it would really open up the possibility to make older frames match up with the newer frames, along with kit reworks. Really great vid btw.

I feel like Kullervo is going to win before I finish the video. Kully was one of my first frames and I immediately recognized that his 3 is INSANE. He does hit like a truck and is very fun. I just got my hands on Ash Prime and have been making several configs, and I think NOW, he is my favorite between the two. Maybe for the recency factor of experiencing his unique kit for the first time. But I have really been having a blast with Ash in void cascade, just sneaking around doing silly stuff with xatas or silence. Both lovely frames.

Ash really felt way more powerful when the game was slower and a dagger could kill anything with one finisher. But he is still enjoyable. His 4 needs to be reworked again, maybe make his 3 useful too. lr4 former ash main, playing dante now most of the time, love the book wizard.

every weapon should use melee elementelist, rifle elementalist etc since it has better stats than ashes passive, and its only addative damage on ash. so any weapon kullervo is using will be better than ash because of this mod plus kullervos 3

Man i love ash but this really highlights just how much his kit needs touching, i dont think it needs a full blown rework but, the sheer level of power modern frames come out with make his augments look like bandaids i really dont see an argument to leave any of them out of his base abilities except maybe smoke shadow because 150% crit chance for pressing 2 is pretty crazy although kullervo existing does counter that point a little. shuriken is worthless on its own, teleport is so limited as is and as you said is just a much worse version of kullervos 1, and bladestorm is a mess even with how strong it can be. I think overall he's aged fairly well but having to sacrifice up to 3 mod slots to give his abilities things that have become basic and outclassed features shows just how old he really is. I just want my boy to be allowed to ball.
