this is by far the best tribute that captures the tragedy of ashs character. despite the badassery, chainsaw hand, boomstick, and grooviness, there is a man destroyed by ptsd, demons, and the loss of anything he held dear. this was a groovy evil dead tribute and i hope to see more

There’s a theory I love that states his current personality is due to the trauma he sustained in evil dead 1 in the first film he was a ball of nerves but during evil dead 2 he is the cool dude only after the fuck tone of trauma this is backed up with some trauma victims pulling a 180 in personality after a traumatic event

He went in there as the naive funny boy and left a warrior who fought off evil incarnate lol... Of course it altered his perspective. Hard to say if it was PTSD until the series but I think the series makes it more clear he's a broken man... But in the original trilogy he just becomes a badass...

But even in the movies he cut the head off the love of his life who was begging him not to (I know it was a deadite and not his gf), cut off his own hand, and experienced inanimate objects laughing... More than most soldiers will experience during a 20 year run in the infantry. But the series and the woke culture makes it more apparent he probably does have PTSD. He becomes more like a chandler from friends idk

It was weird seeing them saying something intelligent. But the rest was just their 24/7 demon attitude.

I love Ash he ain’t so generic good to shoes hero. He’s a guy with plenty of flaws, he selfish, cowardly sometimes, and all around loser. But that what makes him so great he’s a anti hero, he’s like what most of us would be in that situation. He ain’t no hero he’s just tryna to survive.

That's when he realized that he needs to be the hero. Just like that last chapter (I gotta finally for once, own up to who the hell I am) he saved the world Hero with no cape and no powers
