Asha is a stunning, 2 year old border collie weighing 35 lbs. She has all the beauty and
smarts, but much calmer than a typical border collie. Asha was found roaming trying to
survive on her own near the SPCA PV sanctuary. Asha is good with dogs. She was
tested in a cattery and she did not chase the cats, but she was a bit scared. So she
might make the adjustment, but she’d probably prefer a home without cats. She’s
grateful to be rescued but a little tired by all the construction in the area around the
sanctuary. She would love a real family to love her. She likely had a home, so we
suspect she is house trained, or would do so very quickly, but since she’s in a shelter, its
not certain. She enjoys her walks with volunteers and playing with her sanctuary friends.
She is affectionate but cautious with strangers (and isn’t a fan of the cleaners that come
into the sanctuary). Asha is healthy, spayed and vaccinated. She is currently at the
SPCA PV sanctuary in Mexico, and will be able to fly to Vancouver, Calgary or
Edmonton (possibly also Vancouver island) or Seattle in fall when flights resume. If you
think you might be the lucky home for him, write us at pvcaadoptions@gmail.com and
tell us a little about yourself, or go direct to our application:
