that's so sad and depressing. don't say that. Even though I was aware and heard all her popular singles growing up, 28 now, I never really paid attention or seeked her music out. now all of a sudden I hear my mom randomly playing "always on time" and now I'm all over youtube meeting Ashanti really for what feels like the first time while at the same time being very familiar with everything and feeling nostalgic. it's a very surreal experience. I feel like it's all new, but old and I feel melancholy that it's over and I feel like I missed it, when I really didn't. I guess I was just young and my taste in music have changed. Like when our parents turn on old awful music from their childhood like barry white or Luther vandross. guess that's what I'm doing now. I hope Ashanti comes back so I can experience and appreciate her live in action.
