Gwadi village is located on Galyang Municipality ward No 4 of Syangja District. We headed to this beautiful village to take part of this festival. This festival marks the beginning of the rice planting season and is a significant cultural event. Here are some key aspects of Ashare Ropai. Farmers celebrate the arrival of the monsoon season, which is crucial for rice cultivation. It is a time for community bonding, where villagers come together to help each other in the fields. The day is filled with singing traditional Ashare Geet (songs) and dancing in the muddy fields. People enjoy traditional foods like dahi chiura (curd and beaten rice) and other local delicacies. Rice is the main cereal crop in Nepal, and its cultivation is vital for the country’s agriculture. The festival symbolizes the hard work and dedication of farmers.
