I wonder why the neck on this model is designed to sit in the neck pocket slightly angled which requires the floating bridge to be raised about 3-4 mm to prevent string buzzing . I needed to use a half shim just at the tip of the neck pocket to make the neck sit straight and lowered the bridge to pretty much flush level with the guitar body . Anyone else noticed this ?

Yes, I did. I thought it was a design flaw on my guitar, but I did not realize it was for all of them. I actually like a bit higher action, so I did not have to put a shim on, but it's good to know the trick. Did you notice the Floyd Rose only goes one way? Then what was the purpose of a Floyd Rose?

​​@@fazquasha2632unlike Ibanez this Floyd Rose is mounted more like Jackson Dinky style which means no cavity in guitar body underneath the Floyd Rose ...therefore it can't be pulled too much back because it has no where to go and touches the guitar body But .. if you loosened the spring tension and tightened the strings to tune up, bridge will be pulled forward and not sitting completely on the body , then you have some floating room when you pull the whammy bar backward ..you need to hit the sweet spot in adjusting the spring tensions cause you obviously don't want the bridge be tilted forward by too much
