People who don't like Dj Ashba: He started playing before he was 16 and used to play 17 hours a day sometimes. His first instrumental album was released in 1996. Dj Ashba has great control over his instrument and is very passionate, which is pretty clear, just listen how he handles the tone, those hammer-ons, tremolo picking... So worrying about his playability is pointless. I read and saw interviews where he talked about his playing in GnR. He said that he is trying to keep it like the old sound of the band with his own style. I think he is trying to do very simple and catchy stuff. Well he is new and that's just a start... Some said, it gets boring. Maybe they listened so many times lol :p He is playing with two other guitar players who are critically acclaimed. I know how good Ron Thal is and Axl wont just take anyone. Splash is history. Move on.
