Ashcombe Village Fete 2023

Despite the rain we went ahead with the 2023 Ashcombe Village Fete. The attendance was miles lower but it was great fun with live music from Maddie & The Chaps as well as Vanessa Hurley, displays from Recycled Race Horse Falconry, The Dartmoor Hill Pony Display Team, a tractor parade and a Tractor Tug-of-War grudge match to cap it off!
There were great stalls, food, drinks and things to see as well as a mini-quad bike course from Ashcombe's own Devon Leisure.
Over £1,000 was raised from the raffle for Dawlish Community Transport following the recent dreadful arson attack on their fleet of mini-busses. Maddie & The Chaps generously donated their fee to the raffle fund.
Our deepest thanks to all who supported the event and particulary to stall holders coming out when there was little propect of our usual crowds!
