Hi Lobster! 🦞 I watch your videos religiously! Just curious… during your reviews, could you show each bass standing up with a strap so we can see the balance? I found one of these Lowriders on Reverb for a reasonable price but have a big fear of neck dive. How did this one feel, as far as balance? Thanks!
@LowEndLobster2 жыл бұрын
Hey Pookiestud! I actually don't do that for a specific reason, there's some variables that impact balance outside of the instrument itself that I really don't want to deal with in regards to making content. Specifically- the type of strap people use and how people are built. Two people can have the same bass but have very different experiences in regards to balance depending on their strap, how they wear it, and their build.

Enjoyed the review and interview. What kept you from giving it five claws (lobsters, whatever)?
@LowEndLobster4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Miles. I save the 5 claw ratings for basses that I connect with on another level. My Status Graphite Electro II fretless has been the only bass thus far that I've rated that due to its amazing playability, versatility, and tone. Something that is truly much greater than the sum of its parts (in my opinion of course). I use my $400 used MIM P bass as a reference point for a "3 claw" bass. A solid, well build and great sounding instrument, but average. I try to look at overall value and take into account tone, versatility, feel, construction/build quality, finish quality, etc. I try to be objective for the most part but also try to look through the eyes of an average bass player who wants an instrument as "their" bass. I also look at the other basses in the market segment and what they offer in terms of all those categories. I basically just sit here and over think things while playing until I come up with something XD. Thanks for watching!
