He also said in more recent interviews that if they have the time, they would get together again. Basically, all they need is Billy, MJK, and Josh Freese. Other then the fact they are all busy with other things, nothing else is in the way of them working on another APC album. There is no fighting that I am aware of, so its just a matter of conflicting schedules.

Just got the CD and its growning on me. Ill admit i was nervous about how good this album would/could be.... and while it isnt "EXECELLENT!", there are some good gems on the album, Forever Can Be is one of them. And Billy's voice has really come a long way. I hope he is successful as a solo artist, i would like to see whats next.

well think about it playing with just piano and acoustic is such a different atmosphere than a live show with the full band, or in the studio. plus i think they could have had billy's mic down just a little bit, cause naturally his dynamics go up with the higher parts.

I think once Billy tours on this for a little while, and Maynard works on the next Tool record (I heard they will start in April) then once there is time they will get back together and work on some new APC material. Here's to hope.

I think billys problem was he just didnt warm up. but if adam sticks around to actually be on the next Ashes album in recording...im sure adam will get some more chances to sing

I can't say for sure. I read it in a forum and they didn't mention any sources. But, you may still have to wait a good amount of time to hear a new Tool album. 10,000 Days in 2006, they just finished touring after roughly 2 years. start of new album 2008. probably a year or so to write, record, and mix. So... that's still like 4 years. I know, it sucks, but at least they are trying. No break for them. But, given that time frame, I imagine a new APC album might be possible by 2009-2010. Maybe.

You obviously have some kind of personal issue with the guy, or you're completely deaf when it comes to music... whether you like the music or not, that guy is an excelent musician, and has a great voice. I've seen his videos in here, and i'm glad he got this gig. Hope they come to Portugal soon. Would be there to see them!

It sounds very dry, but so do most people. He's got some processing on the album so he sounds a lot better.

Yes, hopefully.... although by the time the next Tool record has come out and they finish touring it, Maynard will be about 50 years old.... i doubt he will go back to APC. I think Ashes Divide is going to be all thats left in a few years.

I just realized what this song needs, Maynard. The entire Ashes Divide album would have been the new APC album if Maynard had time to leave the best band of all time. Damn that sucks because the music for Ashes is killer, imagine Maynard's voice with it. I feel bad for Billy because when a girl leaves you, you can find someone else. When Maynard James Keenan leaves your band you're screwed. It's like hitting the lotto and then going bankrupt. Oh well, keep up the good work Billy.

yes i like both of their voices would of been cool to hear some harmonies. awesome!!! though.... i think adam is a more technical singer, his pitch in his videos is always spot on. billy struggled in a few parts in this song, that i know adam would of pulled off effortlessly. if they sang together that would of been sooo sick.

Yeah I'm sure Billy was just thrilled Maynard said he's not singing for him anymore. Oh great now I can get out of the shadow of the best rock singer of the last three decades. God it sucked so bad having all of our shows sell out and our albums flying off the shelves. Thank god that's over with so I can be out of that shadow. Billy himself would tell you how bad he misses him. You can't fill the void MJK leaves with ANYONE. Not trying to be a dick, Ashes is as good as it can be without MJK.

His voice is a little sharp on the high parts. He is an outstanding musician but he isn't a very strong frontman. As a back up singer he is better suited. Maybe I am just spoiled from hearing Maynard for so many years. Billy IS better than a lot of other singers though. I just think his melodies vocally can be kind of sharp at times. He is one of my favorite makers of music however, just behind Adam Jones.
