Dio, Halford and Dickinson can be called voices of Metal, but Barlow must be added to this group. He has such a distinctive and powerful voice it is a shame that he has not done more work. I love Matt Barlow big time and I love every album that he did with Iced Earth accept for Crucible Of Man. Even though Iced Earth is Jon Schaffer's band, Matt Barlow's singing did help get the band more well known around the world, but I love this band alot too and Matt has way more freedom now than he ever did in Iced Earth. Jon Schaffer calls all the shots in Iced Earth and he has done an incredible job . The past three albums that Stu Block has done with Iced Earth are amazing albums and he fits the band perfectly in my opinion. The two Ashes Of Ares albums that Matt Barlow has done are also amazing albums. As long as Matt Barlow is in the police force he can not do big tours and Iced Earth counts on big tours so they can make ends meet.
