Aburi is facing massive deforestation and massive tree cutting due to uncontrolled non regulatory absence of land management. Estate Developers and Land owners developers are destroying the forested areas causing massive rockfalls, erosion and biodiversity destruction. Climate change is occurring causing warm trend of the historical cool climate of Aburi towards irreversible warm hot mountain weather patterns.please kindly educate the public that houses can be built but stop cutting trees and building walls and concrete compound floorings. Plant hedge fence instead of walls. Plant at least 12 trees for every plot of land. Plant green grass and trees around houses. Let’s save Aburi from destruction and turning it into a flat Accra landscape of dusty and trees less environment. Keep Aburi agriculture forested area. Stop the tree cutting please. Educate people so we do not destroy Aburi forever. We cannot reverse after it is destroyed. Plant trees. And stop cutting trees and building walls.
