Thanks for your video. So many people said this was easy to do but I was definitely confused at times. The springs and and tension fishing wire part almost had me in tears! I watched your video a few times for guidance so thanks again!

Setting up the tension is definitely fiddly. Glad you found the video helpful.

Thank you for your instruction demonstration. I just received my kiwi 3 yesterday and have waxed/polished all pieces and am ready to put it together.

Thanks for this video! I watched it twice. Once before assembling and once during. Went perfectly!

I've assembled a few wheels before now including one Ashford but this one was a challenge I would have struggled with without your very helpful video. Thank you very much.

Thanks for the video. I watched it before I'd even bought the wheel! Then I read the instructions and watched your video again. Then put the wheel together with your video to refer to though these instructions are the best I've ever had for any bit of equipment. As you said, some fiddly bits and some easy bits. Fiddliest was trying the untangle the drive band. Like dealing with an octopus! Thanks again.

This has been so helpful. Combination of your video and written instructions has meant I have assembled my kiwi 3. Not sure I would have had the confidence to just follow the written instructions:)

For some reason my lazy Kate is too close to my wheel and the bobbins don’t slide in easy at all. Not sure what I’ve done wrong and I have no left over parts. 😢
@AdelaideWalkerWool3 ай бұрын
It sounds like you have the base on the wrong way round - see the video at around 15:00. You'll need to remove this from the upright, rotate it and re-attach.

Are there instructions for applying the lacquer? 🤔
@AdelaideWalkerWool2 жыл бұрын
None specific to the Kiwi that I can think of. Lacquering is best done before assembling, then just follow the instructions on the tin.

It looks like one piece was way darker than all the rest... curious.

Hi Laurie, this will be because wood is a natural material and although it's all the same type of wood the shade may vary from piece to piece. I didn't notice to be honest.
@russellayton64084 жыл бұрын
@@AdelaideWalkerWool Yes, wood parts that aren't for actual custom pieces completed in one project, are made in big batches. Then you grab what you need for each kit at some point later in the processing where you most likely have stockpiles of parts. As you said, wood is natural and varies. Also, I will thank you for the video now. I just received one of these for my wife and I look forward to a little guidance as I put it together today.
