Would love to see Jessica! I think it would open up a really nice dialogue, and Ashley might be able to joke about how often she's called out Deaf people at her shows! 😂. Though, I wonder how Jessica would approach a podcast like this as a new mom and someone who's kept a somewhat low-key and tucked away personal/intimate life. I imagine it would go much like the EP with the Newscaster.

The pronoun conversation was really helpful. When I meet people who are they/she I interpret that as “they prefer they, and that little she in there is to be nice to me for the times that I will inevitably mess up” lol but I always wondered if that was true

Ah, Gandalf the Grey? Subtle wisdom was mixed in the discussion... on momentum, motivation, time, and the bones of experiences that are transformative . ( - Cue the Bowie-Mercury classic, "Under Pressure", and the potential of charcoal.- Another channel all about sustainable energy, " Undecided With Matt Ferrell" explaining hydrothermal carbonization, HTC, came to mind. The 1913 tech discovery is outlined by 6 minutes in, there.) Whether changing pronouns, or cultural/ personal perspectives, there is a rinse-&- repeat cyclical evolution, like the crucible of HTC, or some gender neutral BPE. - Big pie energy? Would that smell like apple-cinnamon? Could the pressurized coal product formed by HTC clear the air of BPE, if used as an activated charcoal after further steps were taken from an experience? ( Not that it's a necessity, just a sincere curiosity about the actual material potential, as well as if complexly layered stories can be filtered, and/ or distilled eventually to neutralize an evocative scent towards a lighter affect).

i'm pausing to say that i get what ashley was saying abt peanut allergy girl: some ppl are REALLY friendly looking, so strangers feel more comfortable striking up a convo w them, as ppl are wont to do sometimes, to be friendly. and ppl who might want to flirt will feel more emboldened bc if someone looks friendly, maybe they're less likely to be mean in rejecting them. and more than that, if someone is cute and friendly looking, i think plenty of ppl may come off as flirting when they don't even mean to. lol AND i know ppl who always get ppl talking to them at grocery stores, but they're not ~classically attractive~ nor do they look like they work there. so some people just have A Look, and who knows what it is, but strangers are like "ah yes, YOU. i can talk to YOU." lol what's baffling to me is two canadians not getting it when every time i've been in canada, more random strangers have struck up conversations w me than anywhere in the US. lol

The they/she conversation was spot on. I don't mind 'she' because I'm female presenting, and 33 - she was the only option I had for the majority of my life. It's also only she/her that really bothers me. Wife, sister, and daughter are okay with me because I see them as connective words- they are not my identity. With all that, I don't feel like it's fair for me to be a stickler. I appreciate people who put in the effort and make mistakes. The occasional they/he helps to counterbalance all the ma'am, miss, she, her, etc. that people automatically default to.
