Those are wrinkles of wisdom. They have been well earned. My legs are pretty short so when I do harai tsurikomi ashi, I have to move into my uke rather closely and almost over exagerate the lifting pulling action. It something I really don't use all that often in randori. I think teaching it is kind of fun, though.

You can knock someone out with a jab. It's not easy, but is possible. I think is a good comparison, because both are pretty good to set up way more powerful attacks, and both sre very low risk. You can use them quite freely, but not so much a turn throw or a hook (unless you are Roy Jones Jr 😂)
