**NOTES** - One thing I forgot to mention: there are a couple of notable instances where a "regular" seelie survivor didn't lose their form, however these instances are only in books (like in A Drunkard's Tale) and don't seem to repeat yet so I can't cross-reference them. Because of this, it's hard to tell what's exaggerated into a fairytale and what's actually real. Weapons and Artifact sets are some of our more reliable sources of historical lore, so until another seelie survivor appears in those, I'm sticking with the idea that GoF is the only complete seelie survivor we know of. - We can now confirm that GoF was not one of the moon sisters thanks to the first couple lines of Tulaytullah's Remembrance which says she danced with the three moon sisters (and therefore isn't one). I COMPLETELY forgot about this line when I was working on this script as I started before it released. What this DOES mean is that GoF was of high enough rank to dance with the sisters in the desert and powerful enough to maintain her form when most other seelies died out. It's also quite possible that she's a seelie aligned with Istaroth specifically (like how adepti answer to Zhongli, each moon sister may have had their own "type" of seelie that followed them). I'll correct this in the finale.

Paimon has got to be a seelie. She's literally a fairy, she floats around like the seelie ghosts and has some similar design features. Seelies were guides for humans and she's our guide to the game. Also I remember something about one of stories talk about a seelie being the trapped under the ocean? We found Paimon under water with some seemingly missing memories. If the GoF horns can represent a crescent moon, Paimon's Halo could be a New Moon. Maybe she is a fallen fragment of one of the other moon goddess. If the Seelies are "angels" this would also give reason for her to have a demon name.

The thing you mentioned about the Star of Ishtar somehow makes me more convinced that Khaenri'ah being called Dahri is not a coincidence... In Arabic, "Dahr" means "timespan" or "age" that could extend from the smallest unit of time to however long the age of the universe is. I had the realization about the letters on Mona's scryglass moments (ha, moments) before you revealed the Archangel connection. This theory seems to have a very solid framework unless we get some other lore bombshell that recontextualizes everything. The only thing I'm wondering about then is the timeline. If Istaroth originally was cast out into Sumeru's deserts, when was she co-ruling in Mondstadt or when did she help Makoto? And when did she die? Unless something about her nature as a Shade prevents her from being destroyed completely or something? Can she exist in multiple places at the same time? It would be a fitting power for a God of Time and we have Dottore doing something similar so...IDK???
@AGUSTIN-zc5iu2 жыл бұрын
Well. Istaroth is probably the very concept of Time itself. Remember the time space Ei is in, back in her 2nd story quest? It is surrounded by a very chaotic energy covering the entirety of the realm itself. I think that, the realm is completely isolated from the timeline; past, present, future, even alternate. It is nowhere, but it's everywhere. It is why Shogun said they were battling for 500 years. But to us, the traveler, it's probably only been 5-10 minutes has passed. I guess, in a way; this is probably what Ei would've envisioned of her eternity, neither moving forward nor backward, a complete stasis. This space is also the perfect place to plant the Sakura Tree, so that it can germinate in the past, and grow in the future, that we presently see the giant tree it is now. What I'm trying to say is, is that so farfetched to say that, she can be everywhere at different points in time? Different individuals/incarnations, yet singular? Is that not the THOUSAND Winds?
@defiantmars99102 жыл бұрын
@@AGUSTIN-zc5iuMakes sense to me. If she is the God of Moments, that's a collection of individual experiences. Ashikai further points out that Istaroth's powers also seem to be related to Irminsul which is strongly tied to Dendro: Dreams, Life, and Memory. So perhaps Celestial beings, like the Shades and potentially the Twins, are able to harness all the elements?

I know that King Deshret/Al-Ahmar is not the main topic of this video, but I am so intrigued about his descendants one being Candace (who you put a clip of in the video hence making me think about this). In her character details section, it states that she is "The scion of Al-Ahmar". I found this really intriguing because scion has two meanings, the first being "a young shoot or twig of a plant, especially one cut for grafting or rooting" and the second being "a descendant of a notable family". The first definition brought me back to Nahida and Rukkhadevata as it somewhat reflects what Rukkhadevata said about Nahida; Nahida being the most important branch of her (or something along the lines of that I can't quite remember). Of course, the second definition fits as she is the descendant of King Deshret but the word choice just really irks me to overthink it. Additionally, Candace's design, particularly her heterochromia, made me think of Horus, where one of his eyes represented the sun and the other the moon. I also noticed that Candace's namecard description is .. really odd? "The burning winds of the past ruffle the heron's feathers, but the bird has eyes only for the morning star at first light." Both of these could further the connection (maybe???) between King Deshret and the Goddess of Flowers/Istaroth/One of the Moon Sisters. Anyways at this point, I feel like I am just reaching out for anything but I do wish there was more info about his descendants. I think Candace’s namecard actually references something else! If we take Candace to be the heron (as referenced in her kit and design), it’s saying that the past - the treatment of her people by Sumeru - always threatens to play on her mind. But, she only has eyes for the “morning star at first light”. The morning star is a reference to Lucifer, who was the angel of the dawn. Dawn or first light can be taken to mean the concept of hope. It’s thought that the Traveler(s) are actually Lucifer - the first shade of the Primordial One and the most powerful of all archangels. So her character card is saying that Candace is looking towards a hopeful future because of the Traveler!

This is such a crazy theory that makes so much sense that my mind immediately starts expanding on it and making it crazier. So Mondstadt, the place with the most obvious connection to Istaroth, has a lot of flower association. Dandelion and Cecilia to name the most prominent. And then it hit me, remember Windblume festival? Where the representative chooses a flower to offer to Barbatos, and this is because nobody knows what flower Windblume really is, and that is because Windblume doesn't exist. Or... does it? What if Windblume did exist but got erased from existence and the name remained but got rewritten as a code used by the rebels of the Old Mondstadt? And maybe Venti, being the suspicious fellow he is, suspects that the flower did really exist but doesn't know what so he keeps asking Mondstadters to offer him some flower hoping it might remind him of the real Windblume? What if Windblume is or is related to Padisarah? To take the theory even crazier, I realized that every nation has one dead goddess who is associated with flowers and has something suspicious regarding Celestia or Istaroth. Liyue has Guizhong who is associated with Glaze Lilies and died for very mysterious reasons and left Zhongli a puzzle that is suspected to contain the knowledge she discovered that Celestia didn't want her to know. Inazuma has Baal who is associated with sakura and did something very similar to the priest who told the gardener how to instantly grow a tree into a 500 years old tree. And then Sumeru of course has the Goddess of Flowers. So the theory: I propose that every single one of these goddesses Guizhong, Makoto and the Goddess of Flower are ALL incarnations of Istaroth who, despite the deaths of her incarnations, is still alive. They are sort of gods born as the branches of time. And on that note, maybe Venti is, or has been made into, one as well.

23:13 Could the Hexenzirkle worshipping the 3 moon goddess and studying the Leylines be a reference to the actual Wiccan practices of studying the lunar fazes and leylines? As far as I’m aware, wicca reveres the Maiden, Mother, and Crone (the waxing, full, and waning fazes of the moon). The Maiden, Mother, and Crone also seem to relate peculiarly to the 3 fates of Greek Mythology as discussed earlier in the video. Random addon, since the 4 archangels are now relevant, Michael is the 42nd angel in the Shem Hamephorash, and there are also references in the loading screens to the hitchhikers guide to the Galaxy about "life the universe and everything". In the hitchhikers guide the number 42 was the answer to life, the universe, and everything. Not sure if they're related but it's something I've been wondering about for A WHILE. Also Michael's demon ruled at 42 is Vepar, which is a mermaid, which reminds me of Kokomi who is supposedly a reincarnation of the Sovereign Water dragon. Just throwing all that out there. Maybe your brain can figure out what I cannot. 😂

It is also very interesting to notice that two common interpretations of a passage in Revelations have Michael as the one to cast down Lucifer from heaven OR to fight him at the end of days. Which is interesting considering the previous video's theory about the Traveler... If the Sustainer ends up being one of the shades of Phanes, we at least know which one she would be 💀

My eyes have been opened to a couple of things. 1. Ishtaroth totally invented the teleport points. The teleport points only work once you interact with them, turning them from red to blue and seem to use your memory of touching said point to teleport you there at any time. Plus, the teleport points can be found in ancient ruins of past times like Enkanomiya, the Chasm civilization, Dragonspine, Tsurumi island ect. An inventive goddess of thousands of moments in time would totally invent something like that for convenience. It's even more telling that the flavor text implies only people from outside Teyvat know what they fully do. 2. By ascending Dori, you unlock voicelines about her basically telling you how she became rich. She found one of Alice's "inventions" and asked Alice if she could become her supplier. Alice was reminded of Klee when she met Dori so she said yes. When the Traveler asks if its a true story (cause the story was being told in fairy tale format), Dori wanted more mora to reveal backstory. We can pay Dori for Alice + Hexenzirkle lore, and since Alice is her supplier, its fair to say Dori meets with her often enough to know her and what she's doing well enough.

1- When it comes to spell vs prayer, in reality the two can be arguably considered interchangeable, at least when asking a higher divine being for help. 2- On thing you didn't point out is that while not directly tied to the Fates, Ishtar does have a(admittedly tenuous) connection to Greek mythology via Aphrodite(THE goddess of Beauty in Greece, so would make sense why Deshret became infatuated with her). Not to mention she was a mistress of Ares and was in love with him... but due to her marriage to Hephaestus couldn't be with him. Taking some liberties could The Primordial One(replace marriage with loyalty) take the place of Hephaestus and King Deshret take the place of Ares? Which would be thematically beautiful in a sense, a Shade inspired to a degree(possibly) by a goddess that was introduced to the Greece from Egypt and Mesopotamia returning to an area inspired EXACTLY by that after helping a Greek Civilization. 3- Couldn't the fact that ALL the archons have demonic names rather than god names be a sign they are or are descended in some way from Phanes and the Shades and that's part of why they're on what's akin to a watchlist by Celestia? 4- Could part of the reason she wasn't recognized be that she (and possibly the other two) erased the specifics of who was the moon sisters from the Irminsul? They wouldn't be able to delete themselves(as shown by Scaramouche) but they would be able to probably make a clean break unless people were keeping an eye on every last god when they did so and suddenly noticed a god or three appear.

“Seeds of stories, brought by the wind and cultivated by time.” Makes a lot more sense if time is a goddess of flowers. Also idk if there’s anything to it, but I feel like there’s a hint between the fantastic compass, the time dial thing by the Thousand Winds Temple. The compass itself sorta lends itself to the archangels and the way it controls local time in its domain and the time dial looks very similar, perhaps a more ancient form of the same device. *Also Makoto believing in the power of all the transient moments that filled eternity and Istaroth being characterized as “the moment” aligns so well with the transience of a blooming flower.

2 problems for me: The Goddess of Flowers died a long, long time ago. I know that if she's a god of time then there's all sorts of timey wimey crap let alone the possibility of Irminsul being rewritten that you could torture into a technically permissible timeline, but it seems weird to me that she would later come to be worshipped in Mondstadt after having been cast down into Sumeru and doing a bunch of stuff for the Sumeru civilization and then dying in Sumeru. Also, not clear how she'd have helped Makoto. The Goddess of Flowers doesn't really seem to fit with how Istaroth is described in any other context. The Goddess of Flowers's "thing" seems to have been to leave the biggest impression on people's lives as she could so that after her planned eventual death, the memory of her was as bittersweet as possible. That's not really Istaroth's MO? Nobody in Mondstadt remembers her, nobody except Ei knows she did anything for Makoto, the descendants of Enkanomiya deliberately forgot her. She's not usually so high-key. Or moribund. Not saying you're not onto something, but maybe Flowers is the other cast-down moon sister.

This video actually made me consolidate one particular thought about elements in Teyvat I had since Sumeru's archon quests, that being that each element is tied to a "governing function" in Teyvat, I'll just list: - Anemo is connected to time, as you stated all the possible sources in this video; - Geo is tied to "storing memories" as said by Kun Jun and Zhongli in his 2nd character quest; - Electro is (probably) tied to "energy", as is it seen used in Tatarasuna with the furnace, the theme of eternity that with Ei's new vision has basically become our physics law of Energy conservation (this is my guess though, I haven't dig enough to see more links); - Dendro is tied to dreams as stated by Nahida and the whole Sumeru archon quest; - Hydro like you re-stated in this video seems tied to divination and fate, which also kinda makes sense because all hydro users make "shapes" of something with their powers (Childe created water blades, kokomi jellyfish, etc.) - Pyro and Cryo ??? because my guess is that it will be expanded in their region either directly like Nahida or not directly. If you read (or anybody that wants to answer this comment) this, do you know if what I stated about electro makes sense or is something else entirely? (And in general if you agree with the other elements/know more about pyro and cryo)

Goddess of flower warned king Deshret to not seek the forbidden knowledge nor to search for the master of the 4 shades but he continued his rebellious acts against Celestia, in the end she joined him in his madness.. until the heavens nuked them with a nail killing her, but king Deshret survived.. tried to resurrect her with forbidden knowledge, losing the civilization that he created with her in the process. So no, Goddess of flower is dead for more than 1000 year ago, Istaroth helped protecting Inazuma when Kaenri'ah cataclysm took place 500 year ago.. For me they are not the same person, unless she is not dead but removed herself from Irminsul.

I wasn't aware that the Goddess of Flowers is a Seelie, but your video made me think: Since Nahida used a fairytale as an "back up data" for Scaramouche, is the book "Heart of Clear Springs" a back up of King Deshret and the Goddess of Flowers? There are quotes in it like: "He did not know that the spring fairy was alone, without friends or family, and she had lost a great deal of wisdom." - "And for that young boy, a feeling complex yet immature welled forth from within her heart." - "She spoke of her sapphire-blue homeland, she sang of homesickness of exile, and she sighed separation and belonging." The moon is also often referenced in the book.

Some thoughts and questions came up as I was listening to the video. First, the description of Tulaytullah's Remembrance states, "Once upon the silver dunes, she danced with the three sisters of the moon." "She" is the Goddess of Flowers, which makes me believe that she is not a moon sister and thus is not Istaroth nor a Shade. That is, if the theory that the Shades are the three moon sisters and the sun is correct. If anything, what can be assumed is that she or even the entire Seelie race had a close relationship to the moon sisters. Perhaps the Seelie race worshiped the moon sisters and thus derived their powers from them? This could be the case if you consider that in the accounts found in Records of the Ancient Oases, it was said that Liloupar had curative powers and made appearances in front of the desert dwellers while in the presence of the moon. Some sources, specifically "Moonlit Bamboo Forest" and the Solar Relic from the Vermillion Hereafter artifact set, suggests that all three moon sisters died. The former even says that the moon we see in the sky is the corpse of one of the sisters. Based on the wording, they appear more like fables although there's probably a lot of truth in them. However, the description of Moonpiercer suggests that one of the sisters survived but was too distraught and would never leave her palace. I'm more inclined to believe this one because it was a story that "came from a very ancient dream, one that was hidden in a Nilotpala Lotus," and the original master(s) of the Nilotpala Lotuses was a moon goddess(es) as stated in its own description. However, it was also said that "the many flowers would turn and serve a new master." This could suggest that in the end, the third sister died. "The people would behold the visage of the sovereign of the moonlit nights no longer." Now, who is the new master? Rukkhadevata. In "The Folio of Foliage," which is a biography written by researchers from ancient Sumeru recording the trail of the Dendro Archon during the Cataclysm, it was noted that "with each step she took, a thousand Nilotpala Lotuses bloomed in her wake." In addition to this, the story told in Moonpiercer said that when the dust of the moons finally fell onto the earth, the god of vegetation had already brought the rainforests to the desert. This took place after the Goddess of Flowers had died or disappeared. So I don't think the Nilotpala Lotuses were the night-blue water lilies that birthed the Jinn. Nilotpala Lotuses would bloom at the feet of the moon sisters when they roamed the desert, so why weren't the Jinn born then and even now? Now if all three of the moon sisters were confirmed dead, then they couldn't have been the Shades. We know Istaroth is possibly still alive since she helped Raiden Makoto plant the Sacred Sakura 500 years ago. If one of the moon sisters did end up surviving, then she could have been Istaroth, but she would not have been the Goddess of Flowers as I had mentioned earlier. If the moon sisters were not the Shades, then the Goddess of Flowers could be Istaroth. But that would be odd for a few reasons. 1. The Goddess of Flowers was said to have died. According to Oasis Garden's Truth, "It is said that flowers blossom so that they may enjoy a spectacular death, and that death was precisely the wholehearted pursuit of the Lord of Flowers - for death adds bitterness to lost joy, and intensifies with time across endless memories." It would contradict her beliefs if she were to fake her death. 2. The Goddess of Flowers had a close relationship with King Deshret and Rukkhadevata. Knowing that Istaroth helped Raiden Makoto plant the Sacred Sakura to protect Inazuma, wouldn't the Goddess of Flowers had come to King Deshret's and Rukkhadevata's aid during their fight against Forbidden Knowledge? 3. Liloupar said this about the Eternal Oasis: "It is because this place is the Mistress of Flowers' final sphere of influence. The offerings of the skies protect its serenity here, deep beneath the earth. Thus does this place preserve the last of her essence... When that time comes, the fading power that our mistress put forth to ward this oasis in perpetuity will dissipate... This is inevitable." So I personally don't believe that the Goddess of Flowers is Istaroth, but maybe she can be one of the other Shades.

I may be confusing things at this point, but didn't King Deshret fall in love with the God of Flowers? By the way, Venti uses a bow and he is the one who taught mondstanders how to create wind gliders(and from that one quest with Amber we know that wind glider is indeed made of cloth, albeit a special one)...thus Venti can be assosicated with Time, Music, Weaving, Archery and freedom. Also something on the Goddess of Flowers, she could be reincarnation of Istaroth, who came to guide Scarlet King. We know that Istaroth loved humans, and she had time and again helped out in preserving humanity. King deshret was ambitious, and so he was wanting to reach the forbidden knowledge, and Istaroth knew that it would plunge his people into danger, so she tried to interfere, but most probably other shades or the primordial one or the second shade, did not like her interference, and tried to stop her. As a result, a wounded istaroth somehow disguised as the goddess of flowers arrives in the desert, and meets up with King Deshret and tries to sway him and asked him to NOT pursue the four shades and their master. But fails to do so, and the world is plunged into despair due to the seeping forbidden knowledge. Now to protect humanity, she helps Rukkhadevata, and advises her to build temples(remember she also made abraxas build a giant temple...dainichi mikoshi, the light from which repels the vishaps), and rukkhadevata's imagery was very similar. Multiple temples erected, with rukkhadevatas powers coursing through them, repelling the forbidden zones(and forbidden knowledge is also connected to Vishaps and the underworld..thus connecting the scenario in desert and scenario in enkanomiya). Assuming that Istaroth appeared again, and helped Makoto in creating that seed, that would mean either goddess of flowers never died, or she time skipped to the next point in time where she was needeed, or simply was captured by celestia, which made everyone think that she died. Now, this here ties to..why is venti getting weaker with time. Morax and Baal are still plenty strong. The god become powerful the more they are worshipped, and we know that Mondstadt is very very religious. Infact they are the only nation so far released that has an institution dedicated to their Archons religion(the favonius cathedral), and every other mondstander NPC believes in barbatos' teachings and guidance. There is no way Venti should be weak, unless....his connection with Istaroth, who is getting weaker...is affecting him. So I am assuming, while all powerful, Istaroth, is not omnipotent, and is running out of time too fast. Either due to jumping time and spending way too much power trying to save humanity(enkanomiya, temples in desert, probably advising rukkhadevata to create nahida, helping makoto create the sacred sakura, etc.)...and this inturn is weakening venti. And all the archons are united to save Celestia from whatever is happening, without making it obvious. And Tsaritsa is actually the heroine, who is taking on the mantle of the Villain, giving other archons an excuse to act covertly. I mean think of it 1 - Schneznaya is plotting something, that could endanger entire humanity, why have the archons not banded yet and destroyed schneznaya and Tsaritsa? No matter how strong, I dont think Schneznaya can defend if Barbatos, Baal and Morax unite their nations and declare a war(not even counting Focalors and Natlan's archon into this equation). 2- If abyss is so dangerous, why hasnt the archons acted yet and launched attack on its base? Or..not even trying to find our where its located. Why are they waiting for another cataclysm like the one that happened in khaenriah? We dont know about venti, but we know that Morax and Baal atleast arent actively trying to locate the abyss headquarters, Nahida has just been freed, so she might start google searching abyss on irminsul but so far she also havent done anything. 3- No matter how you look at it, fatui are obtaining gnosis, way too easily, with almost no resistance from the archons. As if archons were just waitting for the right time and excuse to discard them. 4- Venti no matter how weak,is still a god, and he couldnt escape or protect the gnosis infront of the favonius cathedral? Even Jean was right there in the building, all he had to do was make a fuss and signora would have been dealt with swiftly(no offense to signoras strength, but Jean, Lisa, Kaeya, Diluc, Eula....they all are fucking powerful in lore), and signora was trying to maintian a diplomatic relationship with the knights, so she wouldnt have dared act out of place if even Jean alone had arrived. 5- In liyue, Zhongli gives away the gnosis for that stupid test. I know and understand zhongli's POV, but he wont just give away the key that could turn the way upside down, just to test his people. He isnt stupid enough to just give the gnosis, knowing that whatever schneznaya has planned, will have far severe consquences than a giant water snake being freed. 6- In inazuma, baal didnt even care enough to hold the gnosis, and Yae Miko also just gave it away without any fight or resistance or negotiation. We dont know how strong balladeer was at that time, but we know he wasnt a god at that point. 7- Nahida also gives away, not hers but Baal's gnosis to dottore. Granted that dottore was too powerful for nahida to handle, but dottore even agrees with the negotiations that Nahida proposed, even destroyed his own clones....and last part, if dottore had the power to slay a god, why not go back on your promise, and kill or capture nahida once he had the gnosis? Wont it be more dangerous to leave the literal avatar of irminsul alive who can literally google search anyones address on a tree? I am saying it again, Fatui arent the enemy, abyss isnt the enemy. Its all a front, and entire teyvat's archons have banded under this entire ruckus caused by Fatui vs celestia and Abyss vs the world. While i dont belive that abyss and fatui are collaborating, they are definitely not on opposing sides..and have a common goal. Also, if you remember, Abyss was trying to create a fake god, The Loom of Fate operation.....and guess what Dottore did in Sumeru?

since the goddess Inanna or Ishtar is mentioned there's also to remember that she has a twin named Ereshkigal the goddess of the earth oftentimes associated as the ruler of underworld (known as Irkalla) the death goddess and the NIGHT She's also described as the polar opposites to Ishtar herself. Why i brought this up is might be insignificant to the video but let me explain, Ereshkigal herself have an equivalent to the other goddesses too, notably the Hattic goddess Lelwani, similar attributes as the goddess of underworld BUT she's also responsible for DETERMINING human LIFESPANS that's also analogous to the Hurrian goddess Allani other than being worshipped the goddess of underworld known as the member of THREE GODDESSES OF FATE Hutena and Hutellura THAT IS ALSO ANALOGOUS to the Hittite SUN goddess of the earth that's also the goddess of underworld and GODDESSES OF FATE Tarawa and Hutellura. (Hattians Hittite and Hurrians basically 3 different settlers of Anatolia but came in different times and places to live there). All of those goddesses of underworld are also related to disease and sometimes the source of evil, could this makes a relation to abyss? maybe? Ereshkigal too have a minor relationship with greek goddess Hecate, notably associated with magic, witchcraft, light, crossroad, entrance ways, sorcery, knowledge of herbs and poisonous plants, grave ghost, necromancy and the MOON and the NIGHT and her later depiction is a THREE FORMED OR TRIPLE BODIED GODDESS "what this information supposed to be in genshin?" well the three goddesses reference is pretty obvious linking to the three moon goddesses in general although only Ereshkigal and her equivalents are mostly have description of her powers but here, remember about the tale of Pale princess and the Six Pygmies? Could the Night Mother takes inspiration from Ereshkigal? Night Mother lived in the place similar to Irkalla and ruled in a similar fashion. Now this is where I get wild and covered in tinfoil, moon sister had a fallout after the wedding, and remember only one of them seems to survive, could that be Istaroth? and if Istaroth have another evil side, could that be the other one Is the "Ereshkigal" to Istaroth, the Night Mother who fell into the abyss? well there's weakness to this because where would the other moon sister be if there's Ishtar and Ereshkigal thingies going on. Well let's just say that Ishtar or Inanna fell from heaven and becomes the Istaroth or Astarte, from her yearning for heaven she assisted the Scarlet King for the forbidden knowledge but instead dies then came back in cataclysm as the Avatar of Marana which implies Abyss as an object needing "physical sentient" form (that I'd like to call Ereshkigal) just like the Irminsul needs it's own Avatar to represent themselves in teyvat as their will. This would be more interesting but, Ereshkigal is associated with earth (would that mean geo is the source of abyss well it'd make things even more complicated) although in Irkalla, there's Pazuzu a wind demon and protector god Pazuzu is described as demon in home but also he protective to pregnant mothers and children, keeping away unwanted guess and loves wandering around and traversing the mountains, definitely not similar to a certain bard, only strengthen my thoughts of venti were being sent by Istaroth to free the people of monstadt from Decarabian tyranny. This is still grinding everyone's head because 4 shades of primordial one but there's only 3 moon sisters but let's ignore it for awhile Hoyoverse never limits themselves in one mythology as we all know but they the the astrology a bit too much Thanks for the video Ashikai have good rest and hopefully your back is alright for carrying the genshin lore community.

About Mona's relation to istaroth have you noticed her shoes??! in both designs they have the horns and a gem/symbol just like Inanna! The stars of ishtar all over outfits. Also in her character story she says something about "in the reflection of the water I see the ascension of the morning star" could this be istaroth or maybe the traveler? still very interesting now I really wonder who Mona's master is?
@kris.........2 жыл бұрын
Yes! The morning star = Lucifer i.e. the Traveller. I still don't have Mona but want her so bad 🥲

Wow! Amazing synthesis of information. Especially the scryglass. If the god of flowers is istaroth, then I wonder about how she is related to Venti.

here's a crack theory to think about: if we're assuming the goddess of flowers is the god of time, then perhaps she is a literal god of flowers, and that all the flowers that bloom across the world are her creation, it would fit her image of perceived time since flowers seem to bloom for but a moment when in truth they have lived long, fitting lives, in the same way she did. that's why mondstadt has a flower festival.

Regional material respawning and the Aranara quest with the Viparyas nursery stuff come to mind with that. It seems that like many things in Teyvat, memory seems to be involved.

Once again, you manage to make my jaw drop to the floor with the theories and connections you establish. Absolutely mind-blowing. I read the new artifact sets' lore just yesterday and it has been living in my mind rent free, I'm so happy you talked about it in the video! I think we'll have more answers in the 3.4 patch. Anyway, I can't wait for the final part, and other videos of yours!

I’m not convinced. Most of it was very convincing evidence but I don’t think it means the goddess of flowers is istaroth. The goddess of flowers is related to her, of course, but I think that her connection with water makes this a leap… it’s always been wind and time it woudlnt make sense to suddenly change it to water last minute. While wind is more associated with time, water is associated with fate. I think they’re related, but I don’t think theyre the same. King deshret could have been a follower of istaroth wihtout it having to be the goddess of flowers.
@justchica32432 жыл бұрын
@nightmare the possibility is convincing but I’m not completely sold, I believe they are definitely related and the paradise list set suggests that the goddess pf flowers May still be alive, which would line up with what we’ve seen about istaroth, but I can’t just dismiss the inconsistencies between their elemental characterizations and what their described powers are. I think it’s more likely that she’s one if the sister, but not is istaroth herself. I’m not sure if there’s any confrontation that the moon sisters are part of the 4 shades, but if they’re not that’s 3 + 4 and one could correspond to each element

I agree. I love Ash's theories but this one is just completely wrong imho. It makes no sense why the Istaroth would be the GOF when she's deity in Monstadt and now suddenly is in Sumeru to hang out with with King deshret and Rukkhadevata then died there. It does not add up with any of the timeline of the god of time. Their powers also doesn't match up, this is too much inconsistency.

I can't express how much I am mindblown by this theory, having all those details connect so seemingly perfectly makes my brain relases so much happy chemicals. With all the details you've pointed between Istharoth/The Goddess of Flowers and her being one of the Moon Sisters, I couldn't help to notice similarities between the Goddess of Flowers and Guizhong (I can't help it I'm obsessed with Liyue Lore) both allegedly being at the origin of flowers that blooms at night (Glaze Lilies) and having mysterious knowledge (The rock dumbbell she gave Morax/Zhongli saying it "contained all of her wisdom") and I can't help to feel suspicious given Guizhong still being a very mysterious character in the Lore I BEG YOU ZHONGLI FIND SOMEONE TO OPEN THE DAMN PUZZLE

So technically there are 4 God of time and maybe the god of time that venti might be familiar with is the other moon sister that have fallen not the goddess of flower. So maybe the goddess of flowers is essentially "ruling" the water while venti "friend" is "ruling" the wind and the others are earth and fire. Which is the sun for the fire and the moon that we see in teyvat is "ruling" the earth. Boom Case Solved Edit: and maybe this follows the directions too. The goddess of flower is in the west, venti "friend" is in the east, the sun is in front of us and the moon is behind us and vise versa. This also means that paimon could still be a god of time.

Once upon the silver dunes, she [goddess of flowers] danced with the three sisters of the moon. - Tulaytullah's Remembrance. I'm just saying. Probably the Goddess of Flowers was not a Moon sister. Well, all your theory may be true, all except Istaroth being the Goddess of Flowers.

One thing not mention is that Astarte is actually a kind of mythological predecessor (earlier/other religious form) of everyone’s favorite Greek goddess, Aphrodite. Now Aphrodite is the goddess of beauty which isn’t really related to anything here but it should be noted that Aphrodite is the mother of the God of Love, Eros. Do we all remember who the *God of Love* in Teyvat is? And what her grand plan is?

Who do you think spoke to us at the end of the 3.3 interlude quest? Could it have been Istaroth or someone completely different. From what the woman said, it could very well be Istaroth. We’ve been getting so much information about her as of late, it’s only a matter of time until we meet her.

Do you think that Voice at the end of the Scaramouche quest is Istharot? I bet it could be the Great Tortoise of Time that Nahida mention in her voicelines talking about Faruzan. It also appears on Nahida demo. (I would like to know if you heard the interaction)
@jayp27062 жыл бұрын
Many speculate that the voice belongs to the hydro archon. The voice mentioned, “believe your own eyes. Only that which you see is true. What is unseen is an illusion.” Dainsleif say in the pv that she’s “The God of Justice lives for the spectacle of the courtroom, seeking to judge all other gods. “, maybe she came to witness the Wanderer “judgement”.
@meltederaser3762 жыл бұрын
@@jayp2706 too much of a stretch...just because Focalors loves the drama in the courtroom, doesn't mean she's interested in everyone's "judgement". Istaroth is the more likely since the voice has more connection with the fate and time of Teyvat, rather than a lower god.
@jayp27062 жыл бұрын
@@meltederaser376 For me, it's just guessing cause it’s not only witnessing the Wanderer but also the dendro archon Nahida. And not sure if hyv going to pull the same Nahida's voice preview at the end of the golden apple archipelago event too I can't wait for the further chapters of the story!

I have some more to add to the idea that the other 2 moon sisters being shades of Phanes. A popular theory is that the each artifact represents a shade + Phanes. The Circlet of Logos represent Phanes because the symbol it is represented by is a crown, therefore connecting to Phanes as he is king/ God with a capital G. Also it is fair to assume that Sands of Eon represent Istaroth with her being the god of time and what not. Asherah is associated with the tree of life. Coincidentally, we have an artifact called flower of life. But then what is the other moon sister connected to? The youngest of the Moirai was responsible for the beginning of life, which connects with Asherah. The middle sister was responsible for the events that played out in life, which connects with Istaroth. The eldest cut life with a pair of scissors, causing death. Coincidentally, one of the artifacts is called the Plume of Death. Most of this proves your theory. The only problem with it is that Anat, the last of the trio that Astarte is associated with, has nothing to do with death. What are your guys’ thoughts?
