I used to have this theory a really long time ago that if time functioned normally in Teyvat, there wouldn't be a need for archons to control things like the weather. Perhaps if natural phenomena is left without supervision by the Archons, things can get very messy because of the chaotic nature of time. Another aspect of the theory is that people in Teyvat might not age because of time, because time itself is unimportant in this "sheltered eternity", but rather seem to "age" due to their exposure to raw elements (think about what delusions do), and it's only because most of it is filtered that they "age" at a normal rate, unlike with delusions which might be unfiltered elemental energy and causes accelerated "aging". Also good to remember that one of the definitions of eternity is a state to whicj time has no application.

After watching everything, I was thinking about past domains and I couldn’t help but think of the ever changing domain-The event with Tartaglia, Xinyan, and our Shiktaishou (our little paper buddy). If the time within domains is meaningless, could it be possible that within that domain, it was pulling in memories of monsters directly from the lay lines? In addition, it could also be a chaotic space. Everything within it was random. And it would randomly decided to kick out everyone but Tartaglia and Shiktaishou. Shiktaishou makes sense considering he’s part of that domain. But Tartaglia? Think about it. He’s been to the abyss and may still have some of that energy within him, and so the effects of the domain can’t affect him because it just sees him as lay line energy. Then what about the parkcore event? It was specifically stated to be a domain many times. And it responded to the adventures and the Traveler’s thoughts and desires for what that place should be. Not to mention how you could set a time for the completion of the domain. All things to consider, all things to consider. Edit: Changed lil paper buddy’s name to Shiktaishou (thank you comment)

Hi, I’m watching currently with Enviosity and just wanted to say that you might want to revisit the Enkanomiya Three Realms event again, the Thing Calling Itself Enjou mentions that there are three realms, the Light/Pure Realm, the Abyss/Void and the Human World/Teyvat. Enkanomiya is actually part of the Light Realm, the Three Realms Gateway Offering was an attempt from the Abyss to corrupt the Light Realm and assimilate it into the Abyss. So Teyvat and Enkanomiya aren’t really a part of the Abyss, but they all overlap. The Abyss has its own perception of time, The Pure Realm has its own perception of time and Teyvat has its own perception of time. The Abyss is canonically toxic to the pure realm and it corrupts the Human realm, but the Pure Realm is at the same time the antithesis of the Abyss. The light in Enkanomiya overpowers the taint of the Abyss and forces it out while also weakening the Abyss the light doesn’t touch. However that doesn’t mean you’re wrong necessarily, the Three Realms could very easily be Domains themselves. Perilous Trail shows that Domains intersect all the time but don’t share the same properties, from time and space to composition, and with enough force you can make a portal through to a different domain. Sound familiar? I’d hope it does, because that’s what the Abyss Heralds do to travel between realms. Trying to access pocket dimensions without an active entry point forces you to travel through a chaotic space and hoping to all the gods that you reach the correct realm according to Yae Miko in Ei’s second quest. In short without an Anchor, if you leave the main domain you are sent flying until you eventually land. But with one, you immediately show up without worrying about being stranded in a random dimension by accident. So if each realm is surrounded by a chaotic space, I think that supports your bubble realm theory, and if you can poke holes in the realms to hop between them in a domain and you can do that in Teyvat proper, I think that just about confirms it. Although what we can’t tell is just how many pocket realities deep Teyvat is, but considering it is an alternate timeline to Honkai with many of the same people in different situations and the devs are talking about an entire Honkai universe, it’s safe to say we are at least 2 pocket realities deep.

To add on to that, that could be why childe fell into the abyss. He found a portal that ripped through time and space which intersected the Human realm and the abyss realm. Since both are domains, Childe was able to travel through it like how Xiao passed through chaotic spaces. Furthermore, having enough power to form a rift between time and space itself between large scale “domains” could be a clue relating to the 3 different realms and how they come into play in the future
@Ashikai2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching! But i do have to correct you on something: Enkanomiya is not part of the light realm. The light realm came before humanity was even a thing and the vishaps were from there, as they were elemental beings and the light realm is also known as the elemental realm. But the elemental realm got warped into the ley lines which were then used to create the human realm. When the vishaps we're defeated by the primordial one many of them fled and ended up below ground and that's why they're down there. If you'd like a full explanation with citations I will provide a link to the wiki. genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/Light_Realm

I definitely agree that the pillars are likely part of the structure of Teyvat. I'm still torn between the pillars falling being intentional or accidental. One idea I have right now is that when the catastrophe that killed the moon sisters happened, the wreckage caused some of the structure of Teyvat to fracture and fall, thus the falling nails. Sometimes the nails just caused wide spread destruction (Dragonspine), but I think the nail in the chasm maybe fell so hard it pierced reality, but also plugged it. Like a nail sticking through a tire, but the tire self-seals around the nail. I think that allows the abyss to slip through, causing the creation of the chaotic space. Like... let's say Teyvat is a bubble supported by pillars. In the event, some of the pillar became damaged and fell, one of them piercing another part of the bubble. That bubble kept its structure, but some of the liquid (abyss) got in. At the same time, some of the air in the bubble slipped out, thus creating a bunch of smaller bubbles of air (the chaotic domains).
@mmmgi67632 жыл бұрын
OMG! Calling the structures nails seemed random, but the nails piercing a bubble of Teyvat would really make sense!
@shntnsh3822 жыл бұрын
I'd say the forming of the nails could be either intentional or accidental, breaking off from a larger structure, but the locations those nails were placed were most likely intensional. The Dragonspine one is for erasing the whole civilization there, and the Chasm one...maybe for sealing the messed up area we fell into?

you can always have enough time if there is no linear time - the abyss twin, probably also this would definitely reframe all the times venti or especially the traveler were unconscious/asleep for very long periods of time. It would explain how the traveler could have been asleep for 500 years after getting cubed without ever being noticed or whatever happened when the twins first showed up on Teyvat.

Yes, but, we know Traveler is not from Teyvat originally, and that the siblings traveled as literal stars. They have six wings during the encounter with the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, referencing Seraphim wings. I'm pretty sure they are not only not human, but also immortal, and (in gnostic terms) fragments of the divine monad. So they'll always have enough time for other reasons.
@defiantmars99102 жыл бұрын
I think the function of the Serenitea Pot does further reinforce this theory. If I recall the explanation for furniture creation correctly, we are actually willing the objects into being based on our desires and memories. The sub-space anchors also remind me of this chaotic space. Those anchors say that too many of them throws the adeptal energy into *disarray*, giving Tubby insomnia and causing terrain to displace. And “disarray” can be synonymous with “chaotic”. I would assume the adeptal energy is helping stabilize the domains of adepti, including our Teapot. The lack of someone to manage the domain like the Adepti themselves or a custodian like Tubby, these domain sub-spaces would either become more chaotic or collapse. I could totally see Teyvat becoming less stable as the power Phanes used wanes and the amount of information (memories) to manage increases. I was trying to understand a post by theorist for a completely different fandom which was talking about real world quantum physics and they were talking about false vacuum theory and bubble nucleation… I barely understand it, but those concepts reminded me of the ideas out forth here and in the world structure series.

Is that why Venti says that he knows every song past, present and future because he's heard them all and seen the rewinds? Does the Tsaritsa know too and is that why she's getting the gnosis or has that happened before as well? And if everything that we experience rn is a product of ley lines then can we be sure that everyone we meet are actually alive? Two thoughts about this video, which I enjoyed tremendously. First, before even the end part, I was thinking about what other area could "surprisingly" turn out to be a domain, and my thoughts immediately went to the Golden Apple Archipelago. The way it's referred to as changing at every passage, the fact it's nested in a storm that gives it an entry point... It really feels like a space Alice stumbled upon, and shaped into this adventure summer theme part because having single-handedly enough willpower to shape a domain sounds like the kind of thing Alice would do. So seeing video extracts of the archipelago in the final section, I can't help but wonder if it's something you're also considering, of if that's just a coincidence. Second, I'm thinking back to an anime, Log Horizon, in which the world is said to expand and stretch, in a way that isn't visible yet seems to "make sense". Like, travel between two cities went from a two days trip to a four days trip, but nothing seems out of place. And that's got me wondering if a place falling into the Abyss works the same way. Like, say tomorrow dragonspine fell into the Abyss. There'd just be a Liyue/Mondstadt border region and people would be like "yeah, that's how it goes" even though a huge mountain disappeared. Or, unexisted, depending on the level of "timey wimey rootsy pant a tree in the pastsy BS" going on.

I can't wait (hah) for Unreconciled Stars to have a continuation so a bit more of the truth can come to light... and inevitably leave us with many more questions.

This has nasty fun implications! Implications which, in terms of the greater Genshin Impact story, may make this very probable... If this is right, then the architect of everyone's destiny and the overall stability of Teyvat is none other than the Heavenly Principles. This actually explains why she ground pounds civilizations that become too advanced - they were reaching the threshold of understanding the nature of this world and destiny, and in doing so, threatening it's overall stability. Where it gets interesting is the Tsaritsa's planned rebellion - if she succeeds, she will end up breaking the very thing preventing the whole world from collapsing into chaos... Fun times may lurk ahead...

Another thing i realised is how those inteyvat flowers work, they don't die while outside of Khaenria but when they go back to Khaenria they immediately crumble n die. If this theory is true then alongside the inteyvat flowers lore it explains two things: 1. Khaenria is indeed outside Teyvat itself aka in the abyss OR in its own bubble in the abyss but the walls or borders are kinda thinner in comparison, where time kinda just doesn't exist or doesn't matter 2. Teyvat is in a bubble where time goes faster than the fantastic compass realm (because the compass gets destroyed when brought out) but slower than in Khaenriah (because when in teyvat the flowers don't die or are relatively frozen in time) The last two theories might not be too accurate but the inteyvat flowers and this time is meaningless theory are definitely compatible imo, along with other things

Considering your second theory, then living beings growth rate is set to where they were born. Following that theory, kaeya should grow up slower than diluc because kaeya is from khaenriah. But in game, they grew up together with the same growth rate. Sorry if I sounded rude, I seriously don't mean to. I just thought you theory is interisting and i just want to discuss about it
@emjayen42352 жыл бұрын
@@rayhandinaufal4166 Oh that's a good point now that you've mentioned it, hmm... One possibility though that could make the theory still valid is that Kaeya, though being from Khaenria, wasn't born in Khaenria but in Teyvat, IF assuming a certain bunch of people from Khaenria (including his father) somehow survived the Cataclysm. Since where Kaeya was born and the circumstances surrounding it isn't canonically confirmed yet, its still an open possibility imo. And no of course you're not being rude haha, I like to discuss these things as well, I'm not that much of a theorist so I could be wrong as well. I actually hadn't considered it from that exact perspective before either (of people's growth rate being set to where they were born) so thanks for pointing that out!

Also, this makes sense why Venti claimed to have met the Traveler at the start of the game? Perhaps he had been companions with the traveler during a different point in time and space?
@mmmgi67632 жыл бұрын
Somehow it seems fitting for Venti to be archon of time. Letting time run wild and free seems to be a theme. Venti disappearing for great amount of time would also make sense. The jumps between bubbles would make him out of sync with Teyvat's time (hence explaining his long disappearances). I'd argue, the stability of all the connected domain would be more his business compared to all archons we met so far. Quite a big ask I'd say, especially with celestia breathing down his neck.
@lahie162 жыл бұрын
LITERALLY was just thinking about this same thing. Could also explain why Istaroth "disappeared" from history. At one point in time, Venti could have been Istaroth who traveled through time. She left but then came back to around the same point when she first disappeared, but this time as Venti. To mortals who can't perceive time (like with Ei who planted a tree in the present-day and it appeared in the past) they would have always assumed Mondstadt always had two separate Gods instead of one that just altered their appearance. Of course, this doesn't explain why Venti first appeared as a tiny wisp. Or does it? Perhaps like Guoba, Istaroth had somehow become weakened to the point of a tiny wisp? Well, Venti is either Isaroth themself or a shade of istaroth.
@baggiemaggie38322 жыл бұрын
@@lahie16 (Long comment here. Tl;dr = Venti being Istaroth herself makes so much connections to lore points it is well within the realm of possibility) A wild speculation but to match yours (if Venti IS Istaroth), he could be present and actively participated during the war between the First and Second Throne and got weakened when it is over (wisp-ified?). Perhaps why all the weird timey wimey things happened is because the God that’s supposed to be overseeing time itself has essentially lost most of their power (Assuming that the Four Shades are very important gods for the stability of Teyvat) It kind of matches the timeline (if we can still call it that...) since iirc from the video, the furthest back we can go to have concrete evidence of distorted spacetime between domains is the fall of Enkanomiya which suspiciously coincides with the war between the First and Second Throne. It may also explain why tf Venti is connected to Teyvat’s lore EVERYWHERE. The bard would’ve been hopping around the bubbles like noone’s business. If he had a role in sustaining the stability of the bubbles then it makes sense that he would answer the prayers of Enka; likely not voluntarily but he ended up there to do a quick check-up, throw up some wisdom for the Dainichi Mikoshi (could be a bubble’s anchor) which fits his nature of “letting people do the work” perfectly, and peaced out. Venti being weak would also make sense. He isn’t “weak” per se, but maybe it’s more to conserve his power for bubble maintenance? It makes sense to conserve your power for smaller issues to deal with a bigger one. Noone in genshin mentioned Barbatos being the weakest than Venti himself, and we all know how Venti can lie as naturally as breathing (looking at his fabricated tales of Barbatos). Explains why he’s so calm about losing the gnosis, it never mattered to him. Additionally, Venti is the only archon so far that never mentioned nor cared about erosion on HIMSELF. Erosion is caused by forces such as wind over TIME. The God of Time wouldn’t need to be so worried over the effects of their own element. We already have proof of that from fighting Ei in 2.0-2.1; she is immune to attacks of the electro element. So who’s to say that Venti as the Time God isn’t immune to the ravages of time? Venti seems to be more worried of the effects of erosion on OTHERS and their legacy. You might say that he meant immortalizing others through prose and song, but we already know those stories will be eroded by time. Venti would also know that considering stories of the Time God itself is forgotten by the people of Mond. So immortalizing someone’s legacy is impossible unless....the storyteller THEMSELVES are immortal and is constantly refreshing the memory of the world, like what Venti is doing as a bard. He is confident of his own ability to retain his sanity and memories because he isn’t affected by erosion as he’s the time god. Also explains why the Abyss Order is most active in Mond. Seriously, why are they the “main antagonists” only in Mond? Liyue and Inazuma’s main antagonists are the Fatui but in Mondstadt? Dvalin nearly got brainwashed, Andrius was targetted once, and the defiled statue thingy that everyone almost forgot about. If we take into account of the Abyss Order’s desire to bring back the glory of Khaenri’ah, could it be that they target Mondstadt spesifically to collect the power of it’s archon as the ruler of time? After all, if they can turn back time, then they could go back 500+ yrs to Khaenri’ah pre-cataclysm and change their fate against the gods. But hey, this is just a speculation ^_^ Feeling like a conspiracy theorist considering this “theory” is not so common as the assumption that Paimon is the Time God. But I never subscribed to that theory, it seems too obvious, almost like a red herring. If anything I believe Paimon to be the weakened Shade of Space, considering her close banter and matching Trinity knot motifs with Venti, the weakened Shade of Time. When the game menu stops to turn forward time, and we’re using the power of one of the Four Shades (Shade of Time, Istaroth), wont it make sense that the rest of the Three Shades, or even Phanes himself, would be unaffected? It’s baseless but, it is likely the whole time menu game mechanic thing is Venti’s doing, as he got a gimmick of giving his power for others to do his, though benevolent, bidding. After all, iirc, grass is still moved by the wind even when the menu opens. When Istaroth/Venti exerts their power, why would Paimon/Shade of Space be frozen like everyone? After all, they’re on the same calliber.

I believe _we're_ actually in the past. Teyvat has been destroyed, Abyss Twin saw it happen as it happened, and somehow sent the Traveler back in time to make the same journey she did - when Teyvat still existed. Like Zhongli says: *we are a witness.* We're here so we can know, we can witness the downfall of Teyvat - and in our memory they can exist and live on when we "leave" Teyvat (reach the end of our twin's journey, witness what she witnessed, at which point the domain of Teyvat will end, and we will exit).

Mm, maybe the Archons know this/saw this happen already, and the Tsaritsa, being the Archon of Love, couldn't handle seeing all those deaths and decided to change it, so put into effect her plan to save Teyvat via the gnoses? Would explain why the other archons don't fight her very hard: despite their duty, they don't want to see the world end, either. Maybe that's why the Harbingers are already dead - the Tsaritsa found a way to send actual people, rather than memories, back in time, but she couldn't pluck them out of the timeline until it was already over. I guess that would require Ishtaroth's help. UGH, nevermind, I'm just tangling my thoughts around each other, haha. It's fun though!

This theory broke my brain a little (but I loved it lol) and it got me thinking. So, if the world of Teyvat has "anchors" that keep it in place and going, following the same rules and people's desires can affect it, what if visions really are given to the people who have the willpower to change that order and they are essentially a way to control them? But how would a vision control a person? Well, I came up with something. A vision is a blessing that represents a person's desires and aspirations. If you think about it every vision user up until this point (archons excluded because as we know their visions are fake) has had the same aspirations ever since they got their vision. Xiangling's passion is to cook. Well she has been cooking for a very long time now, hasn't she? How isn't she bored? Why and how is she still that interested in it? As interested as she was in the beginning. Everyone else is pretty much the same. So what if the way a vision controls a person (who has enough power to change the world) is by making sure they never let go of a singular passion that in no way breaks the world? What if people are being given visions just to keep them distracted and busy with this one thing forever so they don't go around breaking the carefully constructed order of Teyvat? Of course, this is just my thoughts after watching this AMAZING theory. It truly changed the way I see the game so much (like many other of Ashikai's theories) and I'm open to other suggestions and thoughts!

I think the conclusion 1 is correct 🤔 In Childe's backstory, it is revealed that the time he spent in the abyss wasn't the same as the time that was spent in Teyvat during his absence. 3 months had passed in the abyss, while only 3 days went by in the real world. It is similar to Makoto's realm of consciousness, which is also kind of a domain since it is where Ei/we fought the Shogun puppet. As you said, only one hour if not less has spent in Inazuma, while 500 years passed in the domain. The domains are therefore probably related to the Abyss, or are in the abyss/have falen into the abyss. Also, there is a kind of "space-like portal" whenever we enter one, which is similar to the Spiral Abyss' portal and the portals the Abyss order use to teleport themselves.

Hell, the tea base is literally a collage of memories given form. Question, were visions a thing before celestia? At which stage of the world were they given to humans? The vishap era? The Primordial one/Seele era? Or were they an invention of celestia? Theory: Archons are gods that were tasked to take care of the pillars that keep the domain stable. Those pillars are manifested as gnosises. Celestia made visions to be somewhat similar to gnosises in effort to stabilise Teyvat further. The leader/-s of wishaps were original owners of gnosises, but they did not have visions. Because of that, they had to be able to adapt rapidly, since Teyvat itself was unstable and everchanging. They also may have ended up in different domains from time to time (since there was always lots of them around strange gate things in Enkanomiya) I have no idea about moon sisters or seelies tho. (Pls excuse my terrible spelling)
@Risachi1002 жыл бұрын
ok crazy theory here: So assuming that thoughts could shape the world around you, what if vishaps did not have that strong thoughts and only thought about survival, which is why there was no light but plenty of energy. The primordial one had exceptionally 'strong' desires and shaped the old teyvat (and was like the oxygen producing organisms on old earth). This allowed other things to exist (like humans, gods, the second who came). A theory in a theory: So what if Teyvat was not that big in the beginning and pulled many small domains in to make one big one (fusion of bubbles, but not all at once). Each former bubble may have had their own god and now they all exist in one space. They have such strong thoughts (like one only thinks of salt or rock or thunder) that teyvat becomes destabilized. So the world needs gods to keep the space relatively stable but there are also too many of them => archon war happens. This would explain why every region matches their archon, they have the strongest thought in that region and shaped the world around them. This theory has probably more holes than swiss cheese but I wanted to share it.

I’ve been wondering more and more about how time works in Genshin (lore wise) from Enkanomiya, Ei’s story quest, Tsurumi Island, and now this interlude quest and I’ve never been fully sold that it all functions linearly but I’m wondering now that you mention Aether(?) Anchors if time and space is chaotic by default and the leylines and trees are what tether all these bubble domains and universes together. I’m starting to think time and space might actually function like a bubble where it is fluid and shapeless of everything existing all at once with an outer perimeter imposed for containing that chaotic mess and then these leylines are extended to give further structure in the more tangible form of a tree. I think that it goes further that these trees are the physical manifestations of these anchors and perhaps each significant area has or has had a tree (or an attempt at a tree like in Enkanomiya) at some point. Plus in addition to each tree in each significant region there are the mora and xp leylines that might be smaller anchors that further help hold Teyvat together. I’m then wondering if Celestia’s divine punishment on Dragonspine and the depths of the chasm was meant to sever its anchor and connection from the rest of the collective in order to stop those places from corrupting the rest of Teyvat. Like amputating an infected limb to save the rest of the body. I’m thinking that might’ve be Celestia’s method in dealing with these types of matters like how the curse of Khaenri’ah removed those afflicted from the cycle and from the structure of time and space that the world tree gives. I’m super interested to see if we’ll see more significance in trees, leylines, or the world tree in Sumeru!

Yes! I also thought the same about the time-space theories about the domains and anchor/pillar of bubble universes. I am getting the vibe that while the main Archon quests focus on the new regions and world building of Teyvat, the interlude Archon quests focus on the world building of Abyss, the past incidents and such, in order to ready the players for the big "time travel" in the end to save Khaenri'ah and solve the Teyvat problems once and for all. Imagine a "new" Teyvat, same map and areas, but hundreds or even thousands of years ago and with new content, we literally get to explore Teyvat a second time, and even save some characters like Signora or Scaramouche on the sideline. Who knows, Genshin might even have a pretty solid happy ending for Teyvat (but not for the Travelers and Paimon, no no no, not them, Hoyoverse will make sure that they suffer in the end). In physics time is the 4th dimension but unlike the first three dimensions which are spatial dimensions you cannot travel freely through time. You can move left and right, forwards and backwards, up and down but you cannot go to the future or the past, you’re stuck in the present. Unless you’re able to gain access to higher dimension where time might just be another spacial dimension like in the movie Interstellar. Perhaps Teyvat is some kind of 3 dimensional representation of a 5 or even higher dimensional space. There are also ways to slow down time in our own universe such as traveling at light speed or orbiting a black hole because of how extreme their gravity is. I don’t really know how this could relate to time in genshin but I thought providing some real world examples of this phenomenon could be helpful.

This actually cleared up a lot of the time confusion within the game's story. Teyvat's domain does function like the floors of the Elysian Realm. In which a few number of floors are themed after a Moth member. So are the enemies you face there, being the past recods of the Moths who fought them. With how domain's artifacts, theme, drops and enemies you face being connected to the leylines memories of that particular domain. And all of them being connected to a great central space that's mostly satble. With Teyvat being the central space for other domains and the True Deep End of the Elysian Realm. Whre in it's gigantic space that houses an entire city and is mostly a peaceful place with the occasional enemies that are doted around the place. Only in genshin's case, it's an entire world. miHoyo's parallels are getting wilder and wilder.

I've been theorizing that Teyvat is a domain for a long time but didn't have a lot of things to back up that theory, but you gave me all the points that I wanted (specifically the things about destiny, stars, the mind of people and the balance of the world) and now I can say this, in the words of Tubby she describes the sub-space waypoints in a really interesting way, this waypoints use adeptal energy, Tubby's energy to be more specific, if too many are created she gets weak and the world around her goes into Chaos, I've been thinking about this for a while and now I think I have the answers to the purpose of the statues of the seven in teyvat what if this statues run on archon energy and their thoughts, shaping and stabilizing the world around them, and this is the purpose of the defiled statue of the Abyss, to throw this balance into disarray, maybe that's the reason Kaenri'ah fell, they knew Khemia they where rearranging matter on a subatomic level creating life without a predestined purpose, and they didn't had a god that could regulate the source and output of alchemy, things can't come from nowhere, maybe they use so much of the available sources in the domain that is teyvat that the borders of the world started to become weaker everytime they use Khemia.... At 20:22 when you talked about what Xiao did in the domain, when he opened a rift in the domain... We've seen this before... The Golden Wolford, their description is very contradictory, in his description says that it comes from "another world", but his materials says that Rhinedottir created them, it is possible that she didn't actually created them but took interest in the rifts that she started to open with every experiment that eventually everything went out of control and the world became fragile, fractured, monsters begin to invade the world and this is why the traveler fell in Teyvat, and just as they were trying to leave the sustainer was already trying to repair all the cracks in the realm, she saw them trying to escape, she wouldn't allow anyone to go in or out of Teyvat, not anymore, so she did what she thought was the best, she closed everything, threw every rift into a domain, Kaenri'ah into the abyss and severed the connection between the three realms so humans would never try to defy the heavenly principles... That's what I think, I need water and a nap, that was a brain twister 🌀 Loved your theory 💖

18:30 The theory about "Constellations" and "Fate is written in the stars" keeping stability on Teyvat makes a lot more sense. But I think i have a much simpler theory. The Seven are the anchors of Teyvat. Each nation has their own Archon that they look up to and worship, which consolidates their perspective. Vision holders are users that have the potential due to their *ambition* to challenge the status quo, so Celestia keeps track of them via the Visions. Maybe this is why the strength of an Archon is allegedly based on the amount of people that worship them. The Gnosis serves as a relay that resonates with the Visions of Vision holders which further amplify or strengthen the Archons. The persons who have "ascended to Celestia" is codeword for "red-pilled from Teyvat". Similar to the Matrix universe, the ones that are made aware of the true nature of the world are ejected from the world to prevent further instability, and given a fake purpose (overthrowing the machine overlords and reloading the matrix is part of the grand plan of the machines to keep the humans from the higher level purpose). And these are subsequently destroyed as the world is made anew.
@lahie162 жыл бұрын
Isn't the strength of the gnosis actually from governing? Mondstadt still fervently worships the Anemo archon, and even in Liyue, there was a woman who worshiped Venti instead of Rex Lapiz. Venti receives a whole lot of worship but is still supposedly the weakest of the archons.

This is a somewhat common world building trope, actually. That is, that the universe is mostly chaotic space, with domains (and Teyvat) being islands of order close to some conduit of order (probably Celestia) or its byproducts (nails, statues, archons/gnoses, maybe even visions). The Abyss could be chaotic space in general, a stronger point of its influence adjacent to Teyvat, a "hole" in Teyvat's domain that seeps it into the chaotic space outside domains, or some sort of a chaos conduit. Domains (and Teyvat) can be unstable/stable as the influence of Celestia (order) erodes or strengthens relative to them. Reminds me of the Chronicles of Amber series (among quite a few other works of fiction, of course).

I mean- within in game mechanics enka is a domain, compared to the chasm at least, the entrance to enkanomiya does look like a portal, just like the one we had under the nail for this quest, but the entrance to the chasm is a physical hole, if you look at it from the outside it just looks like a hole and not like a portal
@andrewrivera74962 жыл бұрын
What looks like a portal is actually just a seal
@LeaksHater2 жыл бұрын
Chasm and the "Space" are not the same thing. Also, that space had an entry point just like a portal. If you left the Space and then wanted to get in again, you would go to below the nail and see the portal.

I feel like this theory is definitely close, but there will be something really funky going on behind the scenes that we learn about in like years from now.

A couple of game-mechanics notes: Entering or leaving domains resets certain character abilities, such as Raiden's energy ring and Yelan's quick-charge shot, to their default state. Besides things actually called "domains," two other locations cause this effect: Enkanomiya, and the Chasm. This also happens when going in/out of seemingly-normal buildings, so it might not be that meaningful (fancy restaurants *probably* aren't pocket dimensions), but it's still a bit suspicious since it does not happen when teleporting around the main overworld. As for the actual domains, many have "ley line disorders" that cause strange things to happen including, for the Mond weapon ascension one, changing the flow of time (increased skill cooldowns).

In the cutscene with xiaos sacrifice, I've always thought it was just reflecting xiaos memories, he takes control of the energy flow, and right after he does that, the space turns red and souls start coming out of nowhere. I just thought the space was manifesting xiaos karmic debt and making the gods and subsequent hatred of those gods that xiao killed/took on into the ghosts that you see coming out of the walls. Idk Ashikais the lore expert imma go with their explanation.

Just watched this vid, this also kinda explains how the portals or tunnels for the abyss work, they think or concentrate to were they want to be, that why Dainsleif could not pursue our twin during the archon quest, they used the same portal but ended on different points, "we have always... enough time"

To add some more about Makoto's domain, and going on by your theory then it could be explained that they meet at the same place because both of them wanted to meet each other (Makoto to give a goodbye and Ei to see her sister again) and like the only actual physical moment in Teyvat they could do that was 500 years ago when Makoto was still alive, and then the whole sakura thing happened, which is what happened in the perilous trail domain, to add consistency to the theory of domains being created by 'wishes' and 'memories'

The time tunnel thing, and shape and overall vibe. Reminded me of the Time Tunnel thing found in FFXIII-2, where you do indeed. Travel back and forth between Time The transition scenes, are often simply different parts of the tunnel, and even when you first access it. Noel tells you not to leave the major pathways, because you can get lost somewhere "Else"

So that's how Xiao and the party always entered into different domains as in Xiao was looking for Bosicuoys so a complete different space was created for him and the group stayed together since they were focused on the sole objective of getting out of there But wouldn't that mean.... That ones imagination, thoughts, memories etc, can shape that space A question @Ashikai was it proper confirmed that Boyoung and Bocicious used the fantastic compass to seal the place Or is it just a situational assumption ? Because I feel like that's not what the fantastic compass is or was made for . We see the traveler get easily confused when Yanfei concludes that they're in a chaotic space yet Xiao and Yanfei seem to know of this weird space time chaos, so i think that the Adeptus must have encountered something similar or maybe the same thing in the past and the fantastic Compass was made to navigate through these chaotic spaces because that what was going on And yes I can see how the human and Adeptus working together can connect to this whole thing. I mean to navigate through these chaotic spaces on needs will and strength behind that will. Also whoever gave the compass to Yelan's ancestor either could see the future (.....Ahem....Alice) OR Gav the compass for the sole purpose of navigating through the chaotic space below the Chasm it in Chasm wherever that place is i think this because when Boyoung and his brother left to fight in th Chasm they couldn't have known that Bosacious would suddenly show up for the fight and the Compass is useless without a human and Adeptus working together as we saw. And if this is true....then .. "This is truly a tragic state of affairs " Boyoung Bosacious and the others might not had to have die in the depths If they knew what or how the compass actually worked Also i don't think we have seen the last of that chaotic space as we never solved the mystery of that big doory fear room place. It had a door and a switch to open and close it And i think that space where the time was all weird and we fight Bosacious, had more to show us then we actually saw mostly because the compass had 8 stopping spits of which i think we only saw about half Damn it... We could've easily solved all the mysteries if we had continued looking I think this because according to Yanfei we found the compass because Arther's will to find his sister was strong enough to conjure up a lumine and through her will to see her brother safe sg conjured a Fantastic Compass (Arther's will gets anymore stronger then this i can see him getting a vision for his Ambition to find his sister ) Jok s aside Lymine's wish for Aether is to know the truth of this world and we could've found out all the answers if we had used the compass she left The compass that lymin left us had all 8 symbols light up on it while the one we used had 2, 3 and 4 (2 - Yanfei to Yelan, 3- Yanfei to Yelan to Xiao, 4 - Xiao to Arther's abyss)
@Ashikai2 жыл бұрын
Just to quickly answer your question, at the end of the quest they do state very clearly that the compass is actually an amplifying device and that is its primary purpose. Therefore it's not so much that the compass is stealing the space but the compass was probably amplifying the abilities of the one using it and the one who was using it was creating the seal.

@@Ashikai Oh........ So the big compass doory place was just changing itself according to all the characters own memories and wants So all the domains and spaces we saw down there were all created by the nails power? I mean like how the wishgranter stone was creating illusions for the people but on a much bigger scale Also didn't you find it odd that how we actually end up with the compass is because traveler's will to find their sibling conjured their sibling who wanted to see the traveler be safe so that conjured/illusion twin manifested the fantastic compass. According to Yanfei anyway, How does the twin know of the fantastic compass? Is the nail actually alive? I mean with it trying to draw us deeper in the space and trap us there? So it begs the question Were those really illusions or real things that the nail was creating just based on the person's memories and wants? What is that nails power really? 🙆♂️🙆♂️🙆♂️🙆♂️🙆♂️

So a summary for what is true for sure: Thanks to other events , similarities between domains, and the recent archon quest we know the following: 1. A chaotic space is a place where time space continuum is deranged. 2. Domains are such chaotic spaces. 3. A domain responds to people's will. 4. As stated by Xiao and Yanfei the domain in our quest had "something wrong with it". 5. Unlike other domains the one in the quest was not connected to any leylines (there was no Irmisul tree). 6. The domain seemed to have the innate desire or "will" to "contain". As pointed out by someone else it could have been because it was affected by the damned souls trapped in there who were mostly mililieth trying to contain the monsters from Kaenriah. Also since there was no leyline to act like a database the domain listened ONLY to these desires and the people trapped within, unlike other domains that seem to work in tandem with the leylines>> the accumulated memories and desires of humanity. 7. Why are there domains ? Is Teyvat a domain ?? remains unknown. The world of Teyvat seems to be acting like a bubble universe, with Teyvat being the most stable bubble. 8. The stability of "bubbles" seems to be dictated by people's wishes. It makes sense since as stated by Zhongli >> gods are born from ppl's wishes. As such there seems to be a need of control over people's fate. (key words: constellations, heavenly principles, visions all point to some highly order)

What if Domains are remnant of worlds? Like a world starts as stable but in "time" it will erode away little by little then the nails will be removed and it will fall in the abyss the in the case of the Tree could be like the earth and they will make the base as nutrient for others worlds , and the cycle repeat. Like some is actuslly trying to create the perfect world. I know is probably a little to vague but this is what i actually felt like after looking at domains

Ei's 2nd archon quest is weird,.according to hoyoverse it is almost impossible to do becuz it involves tempering with rules on the tree. The fact that Ei could not remember the tree but inuzuma ppl do suggests that shes in a parallel universe and indeed an "outsider"

And on today’s episode of “Ashikai unravels Genshin world structure” we get to proof of an imaginary tree that allows time travel, multiverses, and consciousness controlling the universe. It’s like persona 5 and honkai impact worlds had a child, and the result was whatever Teyvat is.

Holy f- this might be your best theory yet I am fully sold on the many domains theory. Wonder if time flows the way it does in the Teyvat (human living space) is because, like how adepti made those other domains, this one is Istaroth's. She's could be the one making time make sense

So I've just started getting deep into Genshin Lore, and your videos have been amazing! But I realized today, that this theory about time not happening normally inside of a domain, provides the answer to an issue I had with Xiangling's story quest way back at the beginning. How was Olaf able to still be alive after being frozen for 300 years? I mean initially I wrote it off for the general Olaf and Draff comparison, and the joke of it, but it really bothered me just because it was well odd. But today, it all clicked with me. So bless you for me letting me put that nagging question to rest.

Hard to say. We know Harunosuke traveled to liyue to study adeptal arts, iirc, so at the very least I'm going to assume that people can learn how to modify them. I think repurposing spaces is also very possible.

You know the teleport waypoint is from the primordial god era , and only the traveller (aether )who is able to use that teleport waypoint , maybe because aether has slightly the power of primordial god maybe ? And Dansleif had said he was one trapped inside the abyss waypoint which is called as network waypoint if I don't mistaken and he has figured how the network works ! To illustrate,the teleport waypoint works for example you travel from a point to point of places , while network waypoint is similar to what happened to traveller during the compass event , which means the network waypoint works is connected through all points and Dansleif must have been falling over and over , many times and probably days or months inside the network waypoint until he find out a perfect hole for him to get out from the network . So finding out / remembering out holes in network waypoint is how you go to different places, which we can conclude that network waypoint works much complicated than teleport waypoint.
