Obsession isn't good in any context. Becoming obsessed with any activity implies that you're undervaluing other activities, and this usually leads to terrible results in other aspects of life. *Congratulations, you're a great developer, but your obsession drove your family and friends away, caused you to neglect your health and appearance, and left you behind on your bills!* Not the outcome anyone wants.

Novelty is the one thing which keeps me motivated. So far i have worked with more than 5 programming languages. Gained experience in different domains like cyber security, backend development, frontend development, mobile app development using react native, serverless architectures, Devops, system administration and AI I have used different liux distributions like ubuntu, zorin, kali linux, amazon linux, cent os and many more. Building some amazing side projects.

How much time it required you to build such discipline
@Generaltalks_12 ай бұрын
@@Bhavani18kwell, 1. Take actions without caring about time. You can reward yourself with small things too after completing the task. 2. Missing your schedule is fine(for me, this is the most important) most ppl will feel demotivated if they keep thinking, they can keep up with their schedule. 3. Building habit takes around 21days but if you keep thinking like, "I will do it for 21days daily, it will become my habit automatically." No, it won't. You need to accept it and try to do it daily. As I said, missing schedule is fine, no one can be 100% disciplined. 4. Don't miss your schedule intentionally. 5. Mediate daily and learn about brain tbh. It's you, how you decide, either be successful or not. It's you deciding about your future.

6:34 This I think is one of the biggest keys to actually making progress. If you have other ways of easily getting the dopamine hit, then coding isn't going to be your go-to way to get it. Having the discipline to make coding your route to those other dopamine hits, as well as being one in and of itself, is super important. Enjoyed the video.

@karanhotwani517923 күн бұрын
You can only be addicted to coding if you are interested in it. When you are passionate about something you don't need to trick your brain in doing something by making it easy. Only thing you need is focus and showing up everyday. It happens naturally. What's the point of tricking your brain into doing something you probably don't enjoy, something that doesn't add meaning to your life? Life is short so do what you love instead of forcing yourself to do something you don't enjoy. I have realised all this from my personal experiences.

Hello ashish, I am currently facing some confusion. I have 3.5 years of experience in the same company, and I now have the opportunity to work on a project from scratch as a Java developer. As part of this, I have been offered a 3-month onsite assignment. Should I accept this opportunity or decline it to stay back and prepare for a job switch? My concern is that after completing the onsite, I will have 4 years of experience, and interviews may become more challenging. What should I do? Please advise.
