Maybe a future video/video series of top classic manga you would like to see be released in English? Maybe in eras from the 60s/70s/80s/90s. Always cool to discover new series, and we know that a lot of the big publishers do tune in to your videos

Idk whats the hold up for kinnikuman. That should of got release a long time ago. Or at least reprint ultimate muscle only managed to get one print run

@007psyren I think it might just be too long. It is 86 volumes right now. Even if they only did the original run, that would be 36 books. Not to mention it's a pretty weird series and its age. It's a safer investment to do whatever the new, hot Shonen series is. We probably won't have a possibility for years.

I am from Mexico and I was collecting Ashita no Joe from Arechii ( Spain ) who was editing it in spanish, however It has been in Hyatus since a while. If it doesn´t resumes I will purchase this US Kodansha release. This is such a great manga that needs more recognition.

Got my order in with Amazon. I’m watching Ashita Joe 2 on prime season 1-2. I’m hooked, wish the very first season was available in English subtitles. There’s dvd box sets in Japanese that I see in eBay but no English subtitles available or so says the ebayers selling the box set. Any chance of an English sub being released of the original first season?

This is exciting news. I can't think of any classic manga I want to see off the top of my head, but there are two video game tie-in manga that I really wish would be released outside Japan such as the Tales of the Abyss manga and the FF12 manga. We know from the Kingdom Hearts manga and FF novels that their connected media do fairly well. Ashita no Joe while not my usual storyline, has the aesthetic of character design that reminds me of my favorite classic anime like Mobile Suit Gundam and Yoroiden Samurai Troopers, so that alone makes me interested in giving it shot. Thanks for sharing this news and broadening my horizons on manga story types I wouldn't usually read.

Indonesia have had "Ashita No Joe" manga since long time ago, it was named as "Boys Action II", I hope that our publisher would reconsider to reprint this manga for the better paper quality and better translation (We Indonesians also have Ippo here, complete volumes from 1 to >130, hope there will be English translation too, for the English native speakers certainly...)

Nice, maybe there is still hope for hajime no ippo. Not the biggest fan of these big bulky hardcovers though, they just are not as comfortable a reading experience. I'll take this over reading digital scans though. As far as other classics go... Tezuka's blackjack and phoenix are in dire need of a reprint.
