Edit: I know it’s stated in the video, but this is in regards to physical release, not digital. Not in the title because I didn’t want to clutter an already long title. Note that some information in this video in regards to number of volumes may be slightly off as I realized at least one (with Minami no Teio) that I either misspoke or found outdated information when putting together notes for this video. That information though is not the primary focus of this video so it should not deter from the intent of the video if something was slightly off. Thanks for understanding.

I really enjoyed this. About 8-9 years ago I did a similar search and it's what caused me to find and read Touch and collect Black Jack which is what slowly pulled back into collecting manga. To this day I'm still surprised so few of Adachi's works have been published in English. With the popularity of manga right now and Dragon Quest being released. (my copy arrives today) I believe any popular title could be reprinted. Aside from Touch I've always want to see Yawara! printed in English. That is nuts that Demon Slayer is in the top 10! I didn't realize that at all.

One of the major reasons to note why Kingdom didn’t get an adaptation is that it took so long to get an anime adaption (6 years) and the anime wasn’t well received when it first came out. I remember back in 2012 being put off by the 3D animation of S1. I stuck around since the story was interesting but it was basically swept under the rug for the other titles coming out that season. On another sad note, when I first saw the title Kingdom on Netflix I was so excited only to realize it wasn’t an adaptation. ;-;

It such a fun story and genius imagination from fujiko f fujio. but hoping any english publisher to publish this manga, because my doraemon collection is such in awful condition😂😂

Oh man, I’m from Kuwait and we had the Fisherman Sanpei anime localized in Arabic. Soooo nostalgic! Used to watch it all the time with Captain Tsubasa. Good days.

I'm surprised that Kochikame was able to stay in Weekly Shōnen Jump for 40 years..crazy considering that the magazine is known for their cutting and knowing Kochikame was able to stay famous and be consistent for that long surprised me, especially when you realize that Akimoto didn't took a single week break/hiatus

*Doraemon* rules!!! I grew up with the manga & anime since my early childhood. I had every single volumes of the original manga at one point. It's a great story for kids and a umber of its movies are also great for adults.

The only case I know before this video was captain Tsubasa,is very important in Japanese culture,the ball Wich the football tournament of Tokyo 2020 was going to be played was called Tsubasa,it's the grand father of all spoons,I know the 2 reasons it has never been printed in English 1. Well football has not been that popular in USA, things have changed since the 2014 world cup but still 2. From world youth onwards,the author Yoichi Takahashi used the brands of many national teams and clubs without permission,so I they try to print them outside of Japan those clubs and national federations could basically ask for a cut of royalties for the use of their brands

Kosaku Shima was mentioned as having a "bilingual edition" with both Japanese and English, and it was mentioned that there were more in this list too. I clearly heard Doraemon has it too, with both Japanese/English and Chinese/English bilingual editions. What other ones are there? I really love this concept and have bilingual editions of Chihayafuru. I'd love to find more.

Hajime no Ippo and Kingdom not being released in English seems almost criminal at this point.

Captain Tsubasa is a series I really want to get into but I cry. Hajime no Ippo I've read like 600 chapters off and I really enjoyed it! I've heard alot of comparisons of Adachi and Rumiko too actually so I feel like there's no reason for his series to not be translated and released! Side note Baki has has a somewhat of a revival in English with Comixology digitally releasing the series through Akita Comics and of course Netflix.

(Note: I wrote this before I even watched the video) I would love to see Major and maybe Major 2nd get printed in English. Major was a very popular baseball manga that came out in the late 90s in Japan and was a huge hit. Later when it ended, like Boruto is a next Gen of Naruto there’s Major 2nd which is a next Gen of Major. I watched the Fan translation of the anime a year or two ago and loved it, but the fan translation for the manga are not caught up or missing chapters especially Major 2nd.
