Love all these videos thanks, not sure if you have covered it but what tippet do you like for winter steelhead? Mono or Floracarbon? Lb test/diameter.

Do you get many takes from non steelhead trout while swinging? I'm just getting into trying to get the basics of 2 hand down and it is a blast!!

we don't have steelhead in Europe but plenty of brown trout. is it also applicable ?

+awaken77 Many aspects of reading water and where fish hold are surely applicable.

Are you casting the 'C' case clockwise?
@Caseyw4627 жыл бұрын
silly question maybe? but how much of the shooting head is outside of the rod?
@ashlandflyshop7707 жыл бұрын
Generally, we like to fish with the entire shooting head outside the rod. Usually we'll start our cast with the head somewhere around twelve inches outside the rod. If you're really trying to lengthen your cast, you may want more overhang. Or if you're in a tight casting situation, you may want to pull the head into the rod a bit so your D Loop is shallower.
