Man this song brings back so many memories. I was 18, a senior in high school, had the best friends and was completely in love with the love of my life. I still remember laughing with Steve when I used to play this song in his car and sing my heart out. I laughed because I knew he secretly loved this song too. This song is like a time machine for those bittersweet teenage years. We tragically lost Steve on 110804. My heart has never been the same without him.

I love this song, I love Ashlee, I hate it how that SNL moment just ruined her, people are so fickle. She has a wonderful voice.
@TheLowest5 ай бұрын
Especially when you consider it likely wasn't her choice. TV shows often will make you pretend play because they don't like the idea of any part of the show failing, nirvana even had to lip sync which they famously did badly on purpose
@RyanKarolak4 ай бұрын
People at the time were pretty tough on Ashlee, claiming she only got the attention she did because of nepotism. Which may have some truth to it, but she didn't deserve that much backlash. Many people were looking for a reason to put her down and the SNL incident was that opportunity, unfortunately.
@kristinstrickland103815 күн бұрын

I love you I love you ashlee. I’ve listened to this album since it came out and listen to these songs almost every single day of my life. This album brings me so much comfort and joy. After my dad passed away i would listen to this album on repeat. My boyfriend finally asked me to change it LOL! He doesn’t understand. Love you so much forever and ever 🤘🏼🤍

I remember the Summer of 2004 I was listening to this going to Six Flags New Orleans. My friends and I from high school went there 2-4 times a month that entire Summer because our friend Griff worked there and let us in. Often this song would be playing either to or from the park. We were a solid crew of 5-6 all tight from school. That was the last Summer of normalcy that I can remember. Griff got let go from the park that following Summer and some of the guys either moved, got jobs, dropped out of school, or got into relationships. Then Katrina hit and flooded the park. It’s still standing with a sign which says “closed for storm.” Every time I see that park I just think of this song. That was the last normal Summer I ever had. Since then everything is still a work in progress going on 19 years.
