I remember watching this as a teenager, and noticing she recorded this barefoot - not a care in the world, not needing to wear heels or put on a show. She was just unapologetically her, and so comfortable with herself. It inspired me to be myself too, and find beauty in the simple things. I wish I could thank her for this. 🌸

On a Monday, I am waiting Tuesday, I am fading And by Wednesday, I can't sleep Then the phone rings, I hear you And the darkness is a clear view 'Cause you've come to rescue me Fall, with you I fall so fast I can hardly catch my breath I hope it lasts Oh, it seems like I can finally Rest my head on something real I like the way that feels Oh, it's as if you know me better Than I ever knew myself I love how you can tell All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me I am moody and messy I get restless and it's senseless How you never seem to care When I'm angry, you listen Make me happy, it's your mission And you won't stop 'til I'm there Fall, sometimes I fall so fast When I hit that bottom crash You're all I have Oh, it seems like I can finally Rest my head on something real I like the way that feels Oh, it's as if you know me better Than I ever knew myself I love how you can tell All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me How do you know? Everything I'm about to say Am I that obvious? And if it's written on my face I hope it never goes away Yeah On a Monday, I am waiting And by Tuesday, I am fading Into your arms So I can breathe Oh, it seems like I can finally Rest my head on something real I like the way that feels Oh, it's as if you know me better Than I ever knew myself I love how you can tell Oh, I love how you can tell Oh, I love how you can tell All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me All the pieces, pieces, pieces of me

@krila39788 жыл бұрын
This is ridiculous, people are still hating on her after 10 years of her caught lip syncing on SNL. Why do you even care anymore???? ITS BEEN OVER 10 YEARS. If you are still trying to hate on her for something that was over 10 years ago and wasn't that bad, you have issues. It isn't like she committed murder. Take your hate somewhere else, her doctors even advised her NOT to sing because she had acid reflux. Now, while she complained that her band played the wrong song, it was probably because she was very anxious and nervous. She was embarrassed worldwide, and it is human nature to blame others. Just let this go. It isn't like she slowly dismembered your family in front of you, and threw them into an incinerator... Get real people.
@chikensaregood95006 жыл бұрын
Actually no its the way she handled the situation that people didn’t let her live it through...people are always going to hate you just gotta ignore it. Britney Spears is proof of this she clearly could’ve ended her career in 2008 and never come back from it and she did

People at the time were pretty tough on Ashlee, claiming she only got the attention she did because of nepotism. Which may have some truth to it, but she didn't deserve that much backlash. Many people were looking for a reason to put her down and the SNL incident was that opportunity, unfortunately.
