When people talk about their hair journey, I wish they talked about learning how to love their curly hair and building confidence. I have learned how to take care of my hair... but I am still learning to feel beautiful with curly hair. But you are definitely inspiring me! If you can look so beautiful with your curly hair then so can I :)

I had a similar experience. I have heard a lot of curly girls say they damaged their hair by straightening it too much in middle school. I damaged my hair severely when I was 12 too. Something about being 12 and in middle school! When I started my curly journey, I also tried Shea Moisture. It dried my hair out too. I didn't learn about porosity until a few years later. I realized my hair was low porosity. I think a lot of curly products are catered to high porosity. A lot of products that aren't specifically for curly hair works best for me. I am 3B.

I also used to straighten my hair in middle school/ high school and my friends would always tell me my natural hair was so cute but I never felt pretty with huge frizzy curls. Thanks for being so inspiring and giving so many helpful tips!!

Also I saw your recent IG post. I have insane shrinkage too!! When my hair is dry and curly it is shoulder length but when it's straightened it's past my waist!!

Can you explain more how you used the oils? Did you use them as Prepoo before shampoo or daily or at night? I started using as a Prepoo before I wash my hair and has worked wonders.

I have a quick question, I have really dry hair. whenever i do my curly hair the bottom has amazing curls and is wet but the top is very dry and drys up quick and is constantly frizzy. Everything I do doesn’t work. Any tips? :)

Hi, this could be caused by many reasons! You’re not using the right shampoo and conditioner for you hair type & hair porosity, your hair is in high humidity environments, your hair absorbs excess moisture & also over styling your hair can lead to this! I would if you don’t know already, figure out your hair porosity and maybe consider switching your products. Keep your hair moisturized every week before you wash it with oils you can check out my videos or my Pinterest for more information! I don’t know your hair but I hope some of this can help you!

This is such a late comment. But I ruined my hair by dyeing it and bleaching it. Especially recently. I chopped a lot of it off but the top so curly maybe to my shoulder and then it stops and the ends just won’t even though they’re fresh. It’s gotten really curly twice since this happened and I’ve tried to replicate what exactly I did and it just still won’t
