Its the right time for him to go - he's not good enough for the prem anymore, but he's played a massive part in this season - better for him to leave on a high as a hero

As a team we are pushing forward now & if we renew his contract he will inevitably not get a regular 1st team spot and as such it’s best for him & the team to leave on a hero send-off:).
