Credit to Burnley FC, the content they're putting out these days is of really good quality (dare I say Premier League quality?!). Great to get a feature like this on one of my favourite ever Burnley players. Ashley Barnes has been brilliant for us. Tough, physical, a real nuisance to the opposition and he's a damn good player too. He's scored some good goals -- and some very important ones too! It's fair to say he's a Clarets legend and has played a big part in our success over the last few years. I'd love it if he could stay with us longer but all good things come to an end eventually. Thank you, Ashley Barnes and best of luck for the future. You'll always be a Claret!

Excellent video, which really surprised me. I am a MUFC fan and have been since 1973. I have always lived in Burnley and take a big interest in my local team. Ashley Barnes, on the football field, has a typical Burnley attitude - never-say-die. Very aggressive player who has grown over the years he has been at Burnley. That's why this video surprised me so much !. Off the field, he is a totally different person. Not aggressive at all, and a perfect family man. I'm so glad that Burnley FC has won the championship. They walked that league. I acknowledge that next season will be a tough one for them, but I am convinced that they will not come straight back down, as there are some bad Premier sides at the moment. Keep up the good work Barnesy, but have an off day against United, please. Top man😊

We've been lucky enough to have a set of amazing players over these last 10 years but Ash really has been fantastic. He had to play a certain way under SD and he did it extremely effectively. Now he has been asked to play a different way and, for me, proved what a very, very good footballer he is. All I can say is "thank you".

Had my doubts at the start of the season whether Ash would fit into the VK style of play, but even though we have lots of good forwards, what Ash has done this season, to make that position his own and make the players around him better is simply incredible. Legendary status for sure and for what he gave the fans against Blackburn....man that felt good! I think we should hang onto him in the Prem and let him help the team as a whole and there will definitely be games where his experience and guile would be invaluable.

If any player was ever deserving of a 1 year extension its this lad, 10 years of service through thick and thin absolute passion and 100% effort every time he pulled on the shirt, OK we had a spell where he was a frustrating player (arguing and moaning and throwing himself about haha) but that was obviously a game plan and a way hed been told to play, Kompany has got him playing again and this season hes been brilliant, the word legend gets banded about in this game too often but any player giving 10 years and being involved in 3 promotions and a couple of relegations and then scoring those goals against 'The Bastards' is worthy of the label! GIVE HIM A YEAR!!!

Been a Claret all my life (56), my 2 favourite Burnley goals ever are both by Ashley. At TM against Palace 2016 as most of my in laws & mates are Palace fans (incl my own daughter), & against Rovers this season. Who pushed the goalie in the Bastards net? ❤🤣. Also loved his tripping the ref in his Brighton days. Quality. Definite Burnley legend for me 👏👏👏

Hugely under-rated player for Burnley and I think these last few months he has been the best he has ever been in a claret and blue shirt. Love it when he wears the captains armband, such a great leader on the pitch now. I really hope the club give him another shot in the Premier League.

His finishing is terrible but his positional play is fantastic. He's always there but he bloody misses. If he could just improve on his finishing he'd be fantastic. I'll say one other thing about Barnes. He always tries. You don't see him sauntering around looking like he wants the game to end and most importantly his head doesn't go down when his side are losing. That's huge.
