Peniel: Beauty is a mindset So true. I think one of the charms in the world is that we all look different. I feel like, wouldent it be boring if we all looked the same? We all are unique (even me I guess XD) and I think we should embrace ourself. Yeah we all probably have something we are not happy with but focus on the things you like about yourself instead. Be yourself, be you and be proud of yourself because there is only on you and you are special
@michloonietoons45924 жыл бұрын
Beautifully said! Beauty is really such a pressured topic, especially for girls. I don't like Koreans standards of beauty because it's way too strict and we can't look like sticks all the time. Accepting the way your body is made and not willing to change yourself is very impactful because you are created that way, unique and special in your own way :)

Korea and Korean Entertainment has the most unrealistic beauty standards. I am wondering where did these stem from. If they'd strictly follow everything that's said about how they should look like,then everyone will really look the same. Like they have template and if your off that template, 'you're ugly', 'you're not attractive.' I am glad to hear and see people who do not conform to those. I see you are three beautiful people and knowing your thoughts on the subjects you are talking about and how real your takes are, how genuine your messages are not only in this episode but in all these you've come up so far, you become even more beautiful. You guys are just great!
@Squad2SoiFon4 жыл бұрын
I agree, they have a mentality where you can only be on screen or presented to the public if you’re good looking according to their standards. What’s broadcasted on TV, from news anchors to actors to kpop idols, fall under the exact same body type, skin type and beauty type. There’s practically no diversification of the kind of people and looks that are presented to the public, which keeps them thinking that they have to look that exact way to be considered beautiful or successful
@behindzerosp2 жыл бұрын
Even if they let different looking people they try to minimise the difference from white washing to very obvious editswhere people look fake especially on magazine covers and some iidol photos,, one photo of Changbiin from Stray kids since he has very non standard chin/jaw they made is V shapped and it look so different, Han`s photo for one of Skz Nacific modeling was so edited his neck was obviously stretched with photoshop

That’s what happened when I visited korea. I was born in korea but left when I was 2 to America and then came back when I was 16. My relatives pointed out stuff I never realized about myself and made me feel more insecure. I am already so insecure to begin with and cry over how I look. My grandma and other relatives especially pointed out my uneven double eyelids and they even offered to give me eyelid surgery when I go back to korea next year cuz I’m 17 and it’s my last senior year but I decided no because why can’t I just accept what I look like. Me looking better for ur satisfaction and visuals are just feeding into the beauty standards and mindset in korea. They expect u to look a certain way and I don’t want myself to get pulled into that.

This is a huuugggeeee topic that needs to be addressed by the industry. I get that idols have to look good because they're, you know, IDOLS, but the pursuit of perfection is out of control. This mindset is SO damaging to people. Ashely looks uncomfortable to this day about her trainee experiences. Imagine what 14 year olds are going through, being harassed for their “flaws” and being forced to go under the knife to fix themselves to be successful. It leaves an impact on their self esteem and mental health, especially at such a young age. It’s terrible, no wonder some trainees grow up to be narcissistic bullies like AOA’s Jimin that are fuelled by jealousy and obsess over looks.

I think this is so true. Beauty is indeed all about how you are from within. I mean.. I really find it so harsh how they judge idols on their appearance. If your music is good then that is all that matters right? Of course looks matter I guess too.. To some extent but not that much tbh your inner beauty will shine through transforming your 💗 (starting off as a maze but when u find that center or essence of who you truly are ❤️& wipe out or off the dirt it will shine bright like never before or like how u were as a child, happy and through different levels and obstacles in life u get deeper into the realisation of what your life purpose is and who u are meant to be or truly are.. Etc and u start to expand your heart to.. Embrace everyone.. Expanding your vision in life is so important haha God. Narrow views makes us see things through a tunnel vision... Micro zooming into things that do not matter! 💖🧡💛💚💙In the end we will become more spiritual ... Not caring about trivial things while not neglecting our soul & the case aka the physical body and its needs we have to live in.. Balance.. Is all that matters. Gosh! 💜... I forgot that haha. Man!

Koreans are really not that open minded when it comes to beauty. I am not a Korean but watching Korean videos, their level of beauty is unbeatable. It seems as if they want their society to have that same level of beauty so that they could fit into the trend or whatever you called they. Koreans should know that beauty isn’t everything and no one in the first place is born perfect, pretty or handsome. Everyone has flaws and they should start embracing it.
