I think companies discourage the more muscular look because they want them to look like a teenager as long as possible because a lot of the fan bases are young they want them to look like an attainable boyfriend as opposed to the grown men that they actually are. They’re adults it should be ok to look like adults and that everyone is different, all body types are valid. No one should be forced to look a certain way.

No no..men what he meant was for those who think makeup is feminine, they are 'ashamed' or dont like it just because of it being feminine thing to do supposedly, Then it is toxic masculinity (as u said). Its just something he didnt like to do as a HUMAN, his reasons being makeup is suffocating. And that is something many human beings irrespective gender can agree upon.(including me) besides, dont forget that they are k-idols who are constantly on camera. He did mention he doesn’t like putting on makeup cause it’s suffocating and a bother. It takes hours to put on, have to be constantly touched up cause foundation can get messed up when you sweat. Also, since they are performing, they probably are wearing thick performance makeup and that’s hard to remove. So he doesn’t like makeup cause it emasculates him, but it’s just a bother. FUN FACT!!! The reason why I think everyone was surprised Peniel started working out in Junior high is because he's from Chicago suburbs, and in Cook County, which is where Chicago is located, it's law that suburban schools have to have Physical Education daily. I know this because I was raised in the NorthShore suburbs of Chicago. It's mandatory to have P.E. Mon to Fri for 50 mins from 1st grade to 12th grade. When you reach 10th grade you have the option of not following common core and choosing to do a specialty like dance, survival ed, cardio & weights, swimming, ect. Also each semester we had fitness composition week were we had to measure our fitness by timing how fast we run a mile, doing the pacer (sprinting back & forth as much as we could to a timer), counted pull ups, counted crunches, counted push ups, timed planks, timed chin up holds, ect. For kids in Cook County, Illinois, we were all raised to be active and aware of our fitness. When I found out back in high school from online friends from other states that not all schools in America do this, I wasn't surprised because America has an obesity problem and it made sense if kids don't exercise often. Tbh I was kinda jealous of them at the time, because mandatory work out 5 days a week between classes with only 10/15mins between to get ready and go to the next period, was brutal when you're sweating/hella tired and still wanna look cute lol. But now looking back at it, I'm grateful because it builds good health at such a young age and it would be the only time you'd get structured, trained fitness for free!
