So inspiring. I’m a 41 year old subscriber. You guys push me to to increase my time with the Lord. Waking up early before work is so hard for me and I don’t know why. Everyday for almost a year God has been waking me up at 4 am no matter how early or how late I go to bed. I still wake up at 4 am like clockwork. I know God is waking me up at those times so he can commune with me. 😩. The spirit is willing but my flesh is soooooo weak. Please keep me in your prayers.

And he doesn't like it and he is threatened by it. So now, you must do the opposite. Tell satan to get behind you, and throw yourself into prayer and studying your Bible. This is honestly very comforting. I’ve been desiring to read the word more but recently I’ve been doubting... doubting that he hears me, doubting that he cares about the things that I do and sometimes doubting that he’s real. But I know he is, I feel it in my spirit and I want to be fully devoted to Him, I want to give Him my life and serve Him with the mission that He has for my life. It’s hard for me to get up in the morning but I believe that’s the best time to have quiet time with God. I wake up at between 2-5am regularly. Thank you. I thank God for you🤍

Dennia M. I don’t have kids so I can’t say for sure lol. But personally I think the most important thing you can do for them is be an example. Let them see you be diligent in your studies & prayer. Not only will they become curious & learn what a relationship with God looks like but you will become closer to God which will make raising them, inspiring them, & loving them so much easier. Just my opinion. Then you can always involve them. Maybe not for the whole hour but 10 minutes of your study time. Just be diligent so that desire can be instilled in them so when they’re older they will yearn for it.

@dennia M I started prayer journaling when my daughter was 3. I gave her her own journal and she would often scribble her prayers down. I talked about God, we would pray over stuff. When she was 7 we found our church home, and that has been a huge blessing. She is now a 14 year old who goes to a Bible study with me, plus a youth Bible study. She teaches Sunday School, helps with a Bible study for elementary school kids, and is a junior leader for day camps during spring break and summer. I think the best thing we can do for our kids is pray for them. And of course setting an example of trusting God and praying. As kids get older, going to a christian camp during the summer is great. When my daughter was old enough she started going to a youth retreat once a year. That has been amazing for her.

I am a teenage girl who also does quiet time and I can tell you how I started :) My parents were examples of godliness but they didn't really do devotionals themselves, and how I started was by reading a book about the experiences of a Christian in USSR who went to prison for his faith, and the fact hat he had such a living relationship with God made me want to have one too. I definitely think it's very handy to have books about different people's experiences with God and as your daughters grow older they could read them. For anyone wondering, the book I read is called "In God's Underground" by Richard Wurmbrand. But there are many other good experience books too.

i am a teenager and i first started having quiet time after i went to a camp. they purposefully set aside 20-30 minutes at the start of every morning to have us sit and have our quiet time outside. i think the way they did it was great because they didn’t necessarily force us to be constantly reading our bibles but to just reflect on life and what God has done for us as well.

Your videos inspire me to dig deeper into the word. I would just skim over it or not read it at all. It is hard for me to retain information. So I just set it aside. I am going to try really hard to start learning how now. I had open heart surgery and it messed up my cognitive skills. So it scares me when people say hide God's word in your heart. I clicked on this video thinking it was going to be a basic, secular teenager in highschool or college showing their aesthetic notes and "perfect" morning routine. But I was pleasantly surprised! Thanks to you & Molly! I am in a family that for most of them, unfortunately, there seems to be little interest in God's Word. Most of my life I feel like I'm walking with Him all by myself. It's so hard and so lonely. It helps to see others who read His Word and have that desire to know Him & follow Him.

Right now I feel the same too. But it's not because there is only little interest in the word of God. It's because my family is not ok with the way I have my relationship to Jesus, and therefore they - or I should say: mainly my parents - have turned their backs on me. I had to make a decision between religion with my family and faith without my family and I made my decision. I'd rather have Christ and lose it all than losing Christ and having it all. It's hard now and most of the time I have great difficulties to believe that He's actually always there for me, but when it comes hard to hard I can trust him. Oh, one thing I've forgotten: They still believe in Christ in some sense, but in reality they believe more that everything's going to get right as long as you say the right things - which means only positive things are allowed, otherwise something horrible will happen, which none of them can really define - that you are not allowed to speak about sicknesses, otherwise you could call on them and attract them to your life, where I'm like: „What is wrong with you?!” Wouldn't be amazed if this is Jezebel infiltrating and influencing my family with her witchcraft. It seems to me that they are more focused on all of that stuff than they are on Christ. They are almost constantly talking about the rapture so that it seems to me as if they are more focused on that event than they are on the fields. Am I the perfect Christian and fulfill all these standards? Absolutely not. But I strive every day to not give up on Christ, to not compromise despite all the pressure being all around me. Would you mind, if you prayed for me? I need it.

Really, really love this video. Sometimes we want to make that praying time so special that we end up not doing it at all or doing it all wrong not been able to really connect with God. And it really is simple, one don't have to do like a lot of prep to connect with God, all we have to do is be there with a sincere heart, let yourself go and let the Spirit take care of the rest.
