Loved this video so much!! Thank you for being obedient to God when he gave you that vision because almost a year later you are helping so many people like me who feel stuck and lost in trying to start their own child care facility! I have known for awhile that this was for me but I just didn't know how to get out there. PLUS, fear was always holding me back because its so unknown! BUT NOT ANYMORE! How can we keep a steady reliable income when kids don't come on the days we agreed to? We've had a home daycare for 6 years and are barely able to pay the mortgage and keep the lights on. We've had over 50 kids over the years. All the families love us and give us outstanding referrals, and we love the kids and their families. It's hard because we struggle to find a steady stream of new kids to replace ones that leave. Another big problem is we only charge when the child is actually there. We don't want to charge for days they don't come. In fact, that has attracted people to us since they don't have to pay a flat rate. It's frustrating when the grandparents take a child for a day or two, or the baby's daddy wants them, bad weather, or they just don't feel like coming that day. Literally 100 excuses why they don't come and that means we don't get paid. We currently have 4 kids. We've had up to 8 before. There are many days where only 1 shows up or none. Only 2 of the kids come 4 days a week, but more like 0 - 2 days the past month. One has only been coming a day or 2 a week since it's been cold out, mom didn't want to get her daughter out in the 20-30 degree temps. We can't get any of the parents to bring their children like they originally agreed to. We bank on that money to pay our bills, it's our paycheck, and every day a child misses hurts us. We understand grandparents should be able to take the grandkids and life happens, but our stress level is off the chart. We have 2 teens ourselves with a mortgage and bills. We can't survive if this continues and will need to find other work. We brought in $100 this week and $150 the week before. We made $500 the month of January to support our family. Mortgage is $1,000 a month. We would do so much better if parents would bring their kids as they said they would. The parents don't understand, don't care, or maybe both. We doubt the parents would like it if their employers decided to cut their hours and only pay them for a day or two a week, when they agreed on 5 days. It probably wouldn't go over very well and understandably so. Sorry for the rambling!

Great Question meme! You will have to get your location set up first, as the State will want you to have all of this ready so they can evaluate your environment to ensure it complies with the State Guidelines! :)
