Ashley, congratulations to you and Ryan. I had 4 C-sections so I completely understand what you’re describing. Your baby is absolutely beautiful. Kudos to you Ryan for taking such good care of Ashley. I expected nothing less of you. ❤

Im due in 5 weeks and I completely understand the "selfishness" of wanting to keep baby to yourself. I love feeling like I am protecting him, have a special bond and I know Ill miss feeling him move in my stomach. Im excited for the real cuddles but bummed Ill have to share him lol.

Thank you for sharing your birth story! I had an emergency c-section because I was in birth for 46 hours and ended up getting sick because I was laboring too long. I ended up hemorrhaging after I was sewn up, and my baby ended up in the NICU because he got sick too. Literally so crazy how everyone has so many different birth stories. Mine was so traumatic, but I love hearing others because it reminds that my first experience giving birth may not be like my next experience. I'm so happy for you and your little family! Enjoy the newborn stage! Btw, my baby boy is happy, healthy, and is now 7 months old. :) C-section recovery sucks, but boy does it make you a stronger mama.

I've a c section planned for January for our little IVF miracle so I've been waiting on this video. I'm so glad it went well for you & you had such a good experience. I'm still absolutely terrified but at least I know better what to expect. Wishing the 3 of you a lifetime of health and happiness. She's just beautiful! If you could do a hospital bag video that would be helpful too, especially since you said you didn't use half of what you packed.

Congratulations mama!! We had our first on August 24th and are loving every minute with him. October 19th is a great day, and happens to be my birthday! It’s so interesting to hear hospital experiences that are different from hospital to hospital, state to state. We were only allowed 2 guests the whole time, 1 of which was my husband and the other my mom, but we couldn’t switch them out, so had to wait until we were out of the hospital for the rest of our family to meet him.

Congratulations 🎊 on your new baby 🤱. I've been watching you in the og KZbin days and seeing the journey is so inspiring. She's so beautiful 🙂. I had a myomectomy surgery to remove a really big fibroid last December and as a result I have to get a c section once I get pregnant, 39 weeks to be exact. The myomectomy incision is the same as the cesarean incision and the pain of post c section sounds familiar with the surgery. The bleeding for me after the nurse removed the catheter was from getting my menstrual cycle. I'm here with you when you said the nurse insisted you walk after and you wanted to hurt her the Doctors cut you open, all up in your uterus and sew your stomach back up. This was a very informative and thorough video, thank you for this ! I am a Type A chic so I can relate to how you are extra prepared for the hospital stay, I was the same way with my myomectomy surgery last year. It'll be helpful when I have a scheduled c section in my future because of my prior myomectomy surgery.

I’m so glad your being real about how it really is postpartum. I always laugh at all these videos of woman filming on KZbin about what’s in my hospital bag. They went and bought all these special pajama outfits, robes, hair accessories, makeup etc. I guess you truly have to go through it to understand. Hopefully women expecting will watch your video and get it. Many will also bring all these special outfits for the baby in hospital bag and none get used. Even at home for the first month or so baby doesn’t wear all these outfits. It’s just about being comfortable and easy. So many newborn clothes don’t even ever get worn because they grow out of them so fast. I try to pass it on to any friends or family that’s expecting so they don’t waste money on all these newborn outfits. Just onesies and gowns! Congrats, she’s absolutely beautiful and love her name💕

Every baby has their own birth story and they are all beautiful ♥️ my LO is 2yrs old and my unprofessional unsolicited advice is, once you get into a routine the baby will grow and change it again 🤪 there’s apps that tell you about their Developmental Leaps that help you understand what’s going on in their little bodies ☺️ Also the baby routine of: eat, activity, sleep, repeat. It’s helps their little bodies figure out how to function and it naturally create a routine for you ❤

Congratulations on your baby girl. She is absolutely beautiful. How lucky that your hospital has a baby nursery. With my last daughter I had preeclampsia so I had been in the hospital for over a month on bed rest. I was on 24 monitors and they still had to come in and check my blood pressure every few hours so I got no sleep it felt like. As soon as I fell asleep it seems like a nurse was coming in to check my blood pressure’s or someone was coming in to adjust my monitor because the baby had moved. So by the time I went into labor I was very glad because that meant I would be going home but she never left my room. They even bathed her in my room. My husband was great with getting up handing her to me so I could nurse her but he had spent every night at the hospital with me so he was exhausted too. He would just pick up dinner after work and come directly to the hospital and then shower there in the morning and then leave for work. It was a long month and some days. Books are the only thing that kept me sane because I wasn’t even allowed to attend the craft classes or anything else they offered because I was only allowed out of my bed to use the restroom. But she made it here safely so I won’t complain. One thing I did learn is that when having a baby packing adult diapers is a life saver. Glad someone told me that before I had her. Just size up so they aren’t rich around your incision if you have one. Once again congrats! 💕💕💕

Gurl! C section is no joke…I had my twins via C section. So happy about that! Your whooo ha will thank you!! 😂 Funny story… bringing the babies home my parents wanted to stay and “help.” We set the boys down in their crib admiring our miracles! The fire alarm goes off! My mom burnt the pizza!!! I swear my boys were going to be deaf! My dad is lounging on the couch asking my husband for a tuna sandwich 🥪 I was going up and down the stairs had a complete meltdown/pain. Long story short…I kicked them out to a hotel! 😂 Enjoy ALL the moments! My boys are almost 16. I’d give anything to go back!! ❤ So excited for your family!!! Congratulations

For my csection I think it took 2 or 3 trys with the epidural. I had a hard time trying to curve my back. I'm sitting there with my stomach up in my chest and their like you have to curve your back. I'm like I can barely lean forward, how do I curve my back. I did have the feeling of an elephant on my chest. Not the whole time but a few times it felt like someone was on my chest and I was being suffocated. I wasn't able to be with our son till I got moved to recovery. When I was moved to recovery I was still numb and couldn't move. The nurses had to move me into bed and I was lucky and didn't feel the cathader being removed. I waited hours to be with our son and I felt like I couldn't even bond or enjoy it. The first couple hours were spent being stiched up and in post op. Then when I was moving to recovery I was so tired I couldn't stay awake to be with him. Missing those first hours and skin to skin really bothered me. I had gas pain in my shoulder that made me cry. This was our first time also sending one of our babies to the nursery. I will say even though it is nice to rest we will never do it again. Just a few hours in the nursery cost us thousands of dollars added to our hospital bill. I swear it was like they charged us $1000 hr for about 4 hours that he was in there. Shoot, the OR was cheaper. We learned our lesson. I am pregnant with #6 and will not fall for the trap again.
