Thank you for the genuine reaction. G-Dragon "GD" is known as the King of Kpop in the industry, he is in the group BigBang. Yes, Jennie was popular prior to BP debut. Before Jennie debuted with BP, she featured as an actress in GD's "That XXX" music video. She then collaborated with her seniors as a singer for GD "Black", Seungri "GG BE", and Lee Hi "Special" as a rapper, they requested Jennie themselves. Lisa had a dance collaboration on music video with her seniors, and Rosé collaborated with GD "Without You" before their debut, they were requested as well. Jisoo has not collaborated with anyone however, she was in a drama as her desire is to become an actress. Jennie received hate as early as her trainee days. Honestly, it is because they are jealous and threatened by her talent and abilities. After debut, Jennie is the only member with a solo song of her own so far and sadly Jennie again received tons of hate for being the first as haters only want to believe that she is YG's Princess and was treated better than the others. Fact is, this was an experiment to see how successful having solo's will turn out for the group as soloists and Jennie was the one the members agreed on to be first and she was ready for it. Fortunately, Jennie's "Solo" was a huge success. Rosé has some covers that is released on KZbin and on Spotify, she should be releasing a mini album sometime next year and following her (which is likely far later) is Lisa then Jisoo. Lisa has her continuous Lili films and mentorship shows in China going into 2021, Jisoo will have have her main acting role in "Snowdrop" releasing 2021. Jennie is the only member so far that seems to have nothing scheduled that we the public are aware of for 2021.....I pray she doesn't have another 2017 through early 2018 era. You are right, there is no legitimate reason for anyone one to hate or wish anything bad on Jennie, none whatsoever. She has done nothing wrong. All the rumors/scandals were made up, none are true. The hate will not stop but Jennie is confident and strong, she will keep shining no matter the obstacles. She has tough girl persona when she is on stage but she is actually the sweetest, most loving and caring person. Jennie is Korea's IT Girl, Nation's Prestige/Treasure. Jennie will always shine. Keep shining Jennie.

I think the reason why Jennie was affected more with dating scandal was because it was a publicity stunt between SM and YG. They both never confirmed it and 24 days later, they were said to be broken up. The reason we think it was a publicity stunt and not real is that dates don't match up, they were never seen together before that day, and that day none of them were hiding their faces. If you're dating and you know you can get exposes why wouldn't you hide your face? Hell, Jennie hides her face more when she goes shopping. There's a pic where she's even looking at the camera as if she knew she was being filmed. So it affected her because even tho it was fake, she still received a lot of hate during that time. Like she was the most or 2nd most hated idol at that time.

The I am Jennie documentary is a bit misleading at the start. I hope you wouldn't believe all those rumors that was thrown at her, she was slut shamed by the haters and accused of being in a relationship with their CEO and producer just because she got her solo first. I'm honestly shocked you've never heard of G DRAGON (from Big Bang)??? Not even Kai (from EXO. And yes, they confirmed that they were dating at the time)?? But especially G DRAGON lol But yes, people have no concrete reason to hate JENNIE, it simply became a personality trait for Kpop fans. Kpop fans in general hate Blackpink specifically, and JENNIE, being the center/face of the group, has been getting the blunt of it for years. It's the double standards. Male idols breathe and are absolutely celebrated and hyped up, female idols breathe and get hated on/dragged through the mud. And that is especially true for JENNIE, unfortunately. She's literally known as "the most hated idol in Kpop" and "the villain of Kpop", but the truth is that she's a boss bitch and people can't stand it. Joke's on them because she's literally one of the most powerful/influential idols in the industry. Oh, and she got her solo song first because she had been at YG the longest and was the first official member of Blackpink, the other girls' solos were supposed to follow closely after, but YG went through a year full of scandals and controversies in South Korea (nothing related to Blackpink) and everything got delayed/pushed back, but now they're at full speed again.
