Someone should hold a birthday project to gather short letters that tells him what he means to us (there's a bd project to Hoseok similair way but quite different) and how much we love him. Maybe tell him that he can fly and keep on going. We see him improving even if he might not know it. Praise him. Or gather small piece of papers which each hold sentences from Jin stans, showing that we support him, believe in him, pep talk etc. When he needs it he can pick a piece of paper from the box (?)/glass jar(?) and read. I agree with you, hyung line is really underrated. I never had a bias in BTS bc i love them all for different reasons and they're all talented. When i first started to listen to bts i thought that jin had a really big fanbase bc he's so handsome and also sings like an angel but then i found out that he's one of the most underrated member and i'm just really disappointed. He didn't even got a single line in bs&t, his covers aren't really appreciated while his "mom" cover was the first bts cover/song that made me really cry. This solo is also my favorite track in the album. I'm so happy for hoseok tho, in this comeback he has so many lines and he's finally getting the attention that he really deserves. It breaks my heart to know that Jin calling himself Worldwide Handsome was just to hide his pain and insecurities 😢 Jin can fly as high as the rest of BTS But if he couldn’t, the other member would hold him up so he could fly beside them or they would walk on the ground by his side. Jin is the foundation of BTS, without him they would be lost. Their vocals would never be as strong and beautiful without him. Take Jin away and BTS would collapse (metaphorically) He’s part of the group for a reason. If Namjoon, Hoseok, Taehyung, Jungkook, Jimin, and Yoongi can fly so can Jin or none of them can. Since I started listening and paying more attention to BTS in 2015, Jin has always been my favorite. I don't know what it was about him, but I never once thought that this guy was untalented. I hope people can see that he works just as hard as the other members do. It breaks my heart that he so directly sings about his concerns but tries to mask it just a little so maybe others won't catch on. As soon as this album came out I listened to this song before even listening to the title track, and I'm honestly there for Jin 100% of the way, and for the other members too! Although it's just a song, I would be so heartbroken if Jin ever left BTS. It must be hard for him as the oldest member to watch all of his younger members succeed "more" than he does. I'm not an Army but I absolutely adore the Wings album so much. Each of the songs all hold such deep and personal meaning, I can't help but feel emo when listening. This song in particular because its meaning makes me feel so sad for Jin. Rather than feeling remorseful by the fact that he thinks he has no potential, it's as if he's saying that he already understands potential was something never meant for him. That he's 'wide awake' and has come to terms with the thought that he won't ever match up to the other members. Yet he still wants to struggle and pursue the harsh lifestyle of an idol--to be judged and criticized, but as long as he's at it, he'll hold the members close and not give up. Even on variety shows, Jin always says that his looks are what make him special as if it's the only outstanding thing about him. But no, Jin. This song is proof that you can fly, that you can reach greater heights. He tries so hard to keep up with the other members and has such a kind heart. I really hope he realizes how unique and talented he actually is. That was a long ass rant from someone who's not even an Army, sorry haha. Much love from a Shawol 💕

It was October 28th 2016. This was the first BTS song I listened to. I instantly felt understood, I instantly had a place I could comfortably cry. I followed BTS and supported them wholeheartedly for 3 more years after that. Things happened and I didn't have time for music anymore. I didn't have time to sit on social media, watch new releases, watch V-LIVE. I had a lot of happiness in those 3 years, and I had a reason to keep living. I don't listen much to BTS anymore, and I don't know how they are. I hope they're well. But I still come back to this song, I reminisce about how I was sitting on the edge of death, I was ready to leave the world until I found this song. I reflect on how far I've come since then. But thank you, Jin. You saved my life. And I know you saved many more people's lives too.

I will never understand why people say Jin is not talented because it's just not the truth. He's so damn hard working. Why does listening to this makes me cry? Jin is the greatest thing that ever happened to BTS. Imagine BTS without Jin, it's not fun, not complete. Honestly, listen to this song makes me understand a bit more about Jin and how he feels as a member of BTS. When i try to put myself in his position, i found it sad, so sad that it makes him write these lyrics, just try to imagine that you arent good at dance ( compare to Hopie, Jimin, Kookie), you cant rap ( Rap Mon, Hopie, Suga), you can sing but usually dont have much line (tons of BTS songs TT_TT) and EVENTHOUGH you're visual, Kookie and Tae usually get most of the attentions and stand in middle AND ABOVE ALL you're OLDEST ONE (this may makes him feels very discourage as a hyung and he will have to serve in the military sooner than other members). These are his "cuts and bruise" i think The title of the the song is AWAKE (like this is the reality, the ugly truth), and Jin says that this is his "fate" (means he can not change anything about this), Jin also says this is "my truth" and he dont want to lie to himself, he knows that he's NOT OK with this (while the others fly he just walk) and told himself "Dont cry" ;_; DESPITE ALL OF THIS, Jin loves the other members and grateful for what he have THATS WHY in the song he said that he will "strech out his hand " ( to reach other members) and he will try to run ( to catch them and be with them for a longer time ) eventhough he knows its imposible because he doesnt have Wings as well as many other things ( talents or abilities ,...) and he's just "trying to withstand" this, there will be a time when he leave "its seems it come time to leave" Not to mention, he has to persuade other people for a long time to put this song in the album, I think he really want to share his feelings with us, with Army, REAL ARMY, it must be unbearable for him to kept these feelings so much that he has to turn it into a song to share with us TT_TT All of this, it just... so so sad and heartbroken about how Jin feels and what he has been through, we usually see his happy and cheerful side but he's just a human like us, he also has his difficulties, depression,...

Theory: the six flowers he holds in his hand are the other members. He said the petals can fly but he can't. Maybe he thinks he isn't as good as the others. Maybe he lacks a lot of confidence. I also think that bighit (bigsnake) are purposefully giving Jin less lines and screen time cause they think that Jin is less loved. Jin is loved just the same. As a Jin bias it makes me so sad to see how Jin may feel about all this. And by bighit giving Jin less lines and less screen time they are reducing the chance of people falling in love with him. Idk want to worry anyone but it can't be to long until Jin has to do the army service. I'm already crying after typing this paragraph

I think that BigHit actually gives him less lines because most of their songs are more intense like Not Today reaching all the way back to No More Dream, and Jin's voice is very soft, pleasant, and doesn't really fit with the mood of the songs. I'm Jin biased too, and I think the solution is to have an even amount of songs like Fire and Dope, which are more intense, and softer songs like Spring Day, as Jin gets a slew of lines in that one. That's what I think, at least. I love Jin and want him to be as appreciated as the other members, and the way to do that is to expose more people to him. I hope that his solo has done that.
