Marriage was not intended to solve your problems. Oh my word, this should be said to every young couple everywhere! As someone who's been married 30 years, let me just say yes and yes. I loved that you said you get to a point where THIS IS MY PERSON. Scott and I say that all the time and I'm very grateful for my marriage as I know you are for yours. Great video!

I loved this! I will be married 20 yrs this year...we met at church in high school youth group! I loved what you said about how we evolve and change along the way as individuals! It’s so true and one thing we have noticed is that our parenting changes as our children grow! Being a “team” with my husband is the greatest gift!

Great wisdom Ashely! Thank you so much for sharing this advice and these reminders. Like you said, Satan hates marriage so we always say, “Always remember, we’re on the same team” it’s not us against each other, but us against the enemy! And on the topic of children, one of my favorite quotes is, “When you have children, your marriage becomes more important, not less, because now others are counting on you!”.
