When people are rude towards you, pretend they just lost a loved one. You'll maintain your peace and have an easier time giving grace to that person. Works every time. They might even turn as sweet as pie right before your eyes. I've experienced this response countless times. Mark my words and try it.

I had a caller once yell at me like it was my fault then all of a sudden he apologized for his behavior and commended me for being professional in spite of his behavior. I was so surprised I was speechless. I nevermind had a caller apologize for their behavior. I would tell friends of my encounters and one friend actually said it has changed how she deals with customer service reps. I tell people an apology goes a long way.

I use to go back & forth with customers. Now I don't respond which pisses them off even more or as soon as I see it going left I remove myself & call the manager. They do talk to u any kind of way, run to management & then change the story. Customer is NOT always right. RBF story of my life....I feel you on that 💯! I does be chilling & not mad at all but my face saying **** you! Sometime I speak with my facial expression than my words.

Unhappy demons don't like to see you glowing in your happiness. I was walking down the street literally singing Christmas songs thinking about decorating my house when I got off work. A wm saw me, walked up to me and started questioning me about being in his neighborhood. Demanding that I answer his question as I'm walking away. Meanwhile I'm in uniform the whole time. Sir wtf you think I'm doing here? I told him demon you will not steal my joy. That made him more mad.

Christmas was very lackluster and just another day. There really weren't that many lights this year. The town decorated trees on main street with candy canes this year but no lights. Holidays aren't really the same, not a lot of family to celebrate with anymore. No one truly cares. What kind of tacos did the new place have? The caucacity of her to talk down at you like you're a child or dog when all she had to do is either hand you the book or put it in the book slot. I don't understand why some white women demand people do something for them and think they can speak to Black people any kind of way. Everyone should be treated with respect, especially people who work in customer service. Happy New Years Eve 🥰🎉!!! I hope you have an amazing New Years and a playlist of songs to sing for the new year lol 😊❤️🎉!

Kudos to you for keeping your temper in check, I've tried a few CS jobs but I give the same energy I'm given, every single time, so I work alone now and love that. Sorry about some of us white folks, especially the richer one's, luckily you know we don't all act that way - love you Ashley!

When I tell you, my Mama handles people like that on the regular... we'll be in line somewhere and if (typically) a Caucasian woman does that she'll say REALLY loudly "Oh, I guess the rest of us are invisible! No excuse me? No waiting your turn? Just rude. Lord, home training is SO very important." I be weak!!! And if they say something back, she lets them know she's retired and not at her job like the customer service rep so they can get alllllll the smoke.

This reminds me of when I used to work at The GAP. There was one Friday night when it was just the manager and I working because the other staff called out. I was the only person on the register and the manager was counting down the closed registers in the back. While I was on the register, the customers gave me attitude for the line being long or for having to fend for themselves on the sales floor. But I'm like, how are you gonna be mad at the people who actually showed up to work?? It's not our fault... smh

Girl this is exactly why I stopped working retail and do not miss it at all. I worked at Parisian part time for some extra coins. It was like 5 minutes to close, this non-melanated woman came flying in talking about "um grab two more people because I'm gonna need help" It was so condescending. Maam you can need help but we close in four minutes, so unless you want these earrings, you SOL. I literally walked to the back and clocked out. Did not look back.
