Playing my version of elf ball today and my opponent let me go off and did not concede. I did 35,821 damage in one turn 😂. Best opponent ever!

I recently made an elf deck but i added in the Spinner of Souls to deal with board wipes and such... it helped a lot! Highly recommend lol

I have a deck I call "Wannabe Groupie" that uses Rakdos sacrifice, Scrawling Crawler, Razorkin Needlehead and Shelly with a splash of G for Winter, Misanthropic Guide. It's super fun!

I just played you with this deck 2 - 1. I got lucky in the third game. I have been having a lot of fun with it!

This is very similar to the deck I built I would recommend people try 1 or 2 swiftfoot boots in the main or side.

@ I think I pulled an Elvish Vanguard in Onslaught; might be an elvish champion in 8th edition though. Unless the 7th edition starter box had any elves in it. That was when I started playing and Onslught/Scourge were fairly tribal sets. I played up through Lorewyn; maybe a little further. Only kitchen table stuff and drafts but by the time I’d finished I had a very strong and weird elf ball. Timberwatch Elves, Heedless Ones, Wolf Skull Shamans…it was a ball of jank but a very fast ball of jank.

I'm playing pretty much this list but using the new banner instead of tyvar. Even just 3 elves out and your 1/1s become 4/4s although being able to cavern out tyvar sounds better against dimir

One thing I like about this game is how luck factors in. There certainly ARE good and bad decks; decks that take advantage of mechanics, synergize, etc. But, land droughts and floods are very real possibilities, undesirable match-ups - against a mirror deck or you count on enchantments and they have lots of enchantment removal, etc. Now, mathematically, when win percentages are upwards of 85%, luck seems to be taking a back seat to strong brewing skills, but the sample sizes are still quite low usually. If someone plays 100 games with a deck and it's 85% win, it gets copied by everyone that loses to it. My hats off to the devs that incorporated 9-12 sets into Standard. That really 'open-worlds' matches and content providers like you, continually add new decks, tweaks, and original variation. Great videos!

Looks like a fun deck to mess around with, though I save my rare crafting cards for competitive decks, so I'll modify a version of this for fun

Ngl, I feel like tribe decks really struggle with modern power creep in magic. Individual cards are just so strong, that lords and creature synergies are feeling anemic.

Why would you make it green black but not run Lathril?
@andremuller8546Ай бұрын
Playing elves in this standard setting is not a good idea in my opinion. They are too slow and not consistent enough. You need at least 8 more good one-drops to have enough consistency. The Citadel Stalwart himself always needs good one-drops by his side and the Leaf-Crowned Visionary needs them as well. With the available card pool, you will always feel too weak against the Tier 1 and Tier 2 piles.
