Hate all removal? Play Full removal….thanks, no thanks!
@Ashlizzlle2 сағат бұрын
Unfortunately playing a deck with no removal in Standard only leads you to red aggro
@hirschhugo57422 сағат бұрын
@ that’s true, unfortunately. But this Deck has 13 removal in it plus 2 duress…(plus SB) These decks are the reason, why Arena sucks so much these days. That’s definitely not your fault, but I think by extending the rotation cycle WOTC just made Standard so much less exciting… Nevertheless, thank you for your content and have some happy holidays!

I've been playing a slightly modified version of this deck on ranked ladder for two ish days now and even when I lose this deck is so much fun. There's a lot of lines that I missed initially. For example: against a caretaker's talent deck I sideboarded in a Get Out and recurred it with Stormchaser's Talent to basically lock them out of ever playing their draw engines. Sometimes this felt like a discard deck, sometimes it was a tempo deck, other times it felt like control, it's so much fun

My favorite anti removal card is my Dimir no creature poison deck lol. Blank all their removal by having 0 targets lol

That knight of malice scoop is awesome. I had a game recently where a guy tried to demolition field one of my lands and I Tishana's Tidebinder'd the ability and he rage quit lol

There's so much ward/hexproof or recurrent threats like slasher/offspring/dreadknight/overlord cycle/enduring cycle already that I'm starting to run more sweepers instead.

the control of this brew is bullshit and I F'N love it Thank you Ash for showing it. I especially love how it completely shuts down aggro

49:40 Why did the opponent not use cottage? Priority passed really quickly here, am I dumb and missing something?
@maxt563411 сағат бұрын
Opponent timed out because they saltroped the Gix's Command cast. When you let your rope run out the game autopasses through the turn. (It will pause to let you declare blockers if you have any though)

If you're weary of ghost wars there's a delightful card that not only blanks their Ghosts but uses it against them. IVY. Had a person try and Ghost me when Giada was their only creature in play... they conceded immediately. Which was convenient because my hand was kind of trash. : )

My favorite anti-removal card is Tyrranax Rex. Immensely satisfying to ramp into such a big boy when the opponent is putting out their 4th land. I wish he fit into more decks.

8:21 "Because when I think of Hasbro I think of... Oh my fckn gawd nice top deck!" I think in the early 2010's that was Hasbro's official tagline, peaking of course with the invent of "miracles!"

Is it really worth it? In my mono black deck, Knight Of Malice would dodge: 2x anoint, 3x GFTT, and 2x cut down. I can kill it with: 2x no where to run, 1x edict, 2x lili, or 2x deadly cover up. And that's if my bats didn't take it first, and I have in sideboard 1x deadly, 1x eclipse, 1x lili, 2x blot out.
@llathem10116 сағат бұрын
Meant to say Knight of Grace, oops
@maxt563411 сағат бұрын
It's really just a meta call. I bet there's a lot more Golgari represented on the ladder than monoblack. They're not gonna counter your haterpile that's full of edicts but they will counter BG decks that only use the targeted removal. More importantly than any of that though is that having both knights makes for a compelling KZbin video and decklist that people will click on.

I love this deck and it looks super fun. Seems like it's lacking some kind of finisher, but I'm not sure what. The extra non-combat damage from bandit's talent seems like it would be super helpful though.
