I always play edict in black. It's the bwstt answer to planeswalkers and the occasional answer to valgavoth and sheltered by ghost. I agree with you. There's soke cool cards that are going to be coming in standard but generally speaking I don't see anything changing the maet much, just more fun toys to play with. The biggest impact on standard is that mono green might he a legit top tier again.

I tried something like this about a month ago. I hit a pile of mono-black matchups in a row ripping Lillies and Edicts and I raged out of it. Might be time to revisit though.

This deck is very strong in BO1 right now, thanks for sharing. I run a similar list with 4 spellbook vendors, which are nice with the scavenger and with Calix. Also a very forgiving deck to play, not a lot of hard decisions

At 54:26 arena held up two hush wood verges because split up requires double white and you only had three white lands, so that one’s not on autotapper

The time I played a deck like this I played two matches. One was mono black with sheoldred’s edict, and the other was orzhov pixie bouncing tithing blade. Then I retired the deck. Lol

I'm trying to make a Esper Fae Blade work using entity Tracker as draw engine and fear of isolation as a Second Fae. Some counters in the side as another way to interact.

I’ve tried this deck a few times, not the biggest success with it but I’ve gotten to kill someone with an armadillo. And as a girl who loves armadillos, they are so damn cute, every time I do that makes the deck worth playing for me.

I made a Selesnya deck recently and it's pretty great! I would love to send it to you to get your opinion. I'm in need of a sideboard but just the single standard matches I've won 100% so far! Only maybe 10 matches though lol It also uses Calix but Kutzil as well. It's actually based around +1/+1 counters and Reluctant Role Model. It's so much fun lol

The issue of this deck is the creature part, there are countless of good auras in Selesnya, even more coming with Foundations. But the deck desperatly needs a one or 2 mana engine, not something limited to one per turn like elvish archivist. Calix is really great, Toadstool admirer does the part as a aura carrier, Scavenger is great, but the rest is really meh. The deck needs something like Kor Spiritdancer to function.

I'm shocked that you played against someone not going Black with every discard and removal spell in the game as a deck. In the past 3 days 95% of my opponents are playing running the exact same deck the only thing that's changed is some do Blue/Black for card draw or Black/White to add in white removal spells

That seems very similar to the deck i was playing not too long ago, then i tried the one with Braids and Victor. Lose streaks of like 10 matches, all i do is instantly undone, creatures always killed, even with double hexproof played, hand discarded. I miss the ward creatures of the selesnya, but i got always forced to sacrifice. At this point i just want the suffering to end and have a little fun again

So, first matches are kinda what i expected: First 6 Matches went by really sweet, usefull hands and 6 solid victories. Never had to take a mulligan. Match 7/8/9: had to mulligan 5 times in 3 matches. 3 opening hands were 1 lander, 2 mulligans ended in 1 landers, all 3 games i was land starved. Tenth match wasnt nice, but it was a win. I get the feeling that you get all those nice win streaks only if you constantly build new decks before the game notices you have fun and give you the middle finger.

I realize now that people around me might have been giving me hints about it... But it is here, after this video, that I can say with absolute certainty "I am a fucking toddler actually". The hands had me giggling and howling like a 3 yo, on a sugar high at a birthday party. Thank you, it was much needed after a HORRIBLE day.
