Quit coffee. I know, I know. It tastes so good, but I find myself not being hungry for breakfast, and I'd rather use the calories on eggs instead. I'm trying to get my protein up!

Prioritize sleep and slow down. As a mom I always feel so overwhelmed and rushed. I want to slow down and take it all in. ❤ Also, where is your sweater/cardigan from? I love it.

Just saw the tag for the sweater! Thanks for sharing. 🎉

Beautifully said Ashlynne ❤ With disabling chronic illness, burnout, and several life transitions, I stand with you in advocating the necessity of all of these life “anchor points.”

I needed this video. I'm a 42 yo college student in an accelerated nursing program while working fulltime. I'm exhausted mentally, emotionally, and physically l. I'm having a difficult time setting aside time for me and I'm feeling it and near burnout. My situation is temporary because graduation is in May but I definitely need to make small changes now.

I was touched when you told us that it makes you emotional that you will never see your baby as a newborn again. That's exactly what I feel now and then when I look at my almost three-month-old baby and it's a good reminder that we should approach every moment with care. ..thank you for These Words and the other Impulses.

I remember crying in the hospital when my baby was no longer one day old and then being sad when he was already six months old. Yes it's important to cherish each day, but also acknowledge that it's okay to not enjoy every minute. My son has just turned five and I'm sad he's getting older but also happy he's growing and it's a huge privilege. I also have ti remind myself that some parents whose babies never make it past a few days old would give everything for what I have.

I still see my newborns when my daughters pull certain faces. Especially my 9 year old. It will always be there, don't worry ❤

I think prioritizing the must-haves is a great way to reconfigure one's schedule: I must have x hours of rest / sleep every day, I must have x min of exercise each day, etc. Then anything else has to be worked around that and if there isn't time to do it all, the priorities for self-care & family time take first place.
@AshlynneEatonАй бұрын
Absolutely 🙌 That’s a great approach!

The video is so worth it...and yes, I heard those birds chirping in the background 😊. I want to prioritize mindfulness in my everyday life... especially spending time with loved ones and eating...but overall mindfulness

i definitely want to practice slowing down. I’m so addicted to over productivity and it’s so hard to be that way with a 5 month old! (we had our first babies pretty close together! 🥰) I feel like my baby keeps trying to help me slow down because you have to and I keep running against it.
@AshlynneEatonАй бұрын
Yes!! Babies do such a good job of forcing you to slow down 🤍

Your timing is always right, Ashlynne! With a new job and the seasonal transition, I've been doing so much but running out of energy quick. I can't believe the year is getting to a close already. Prioritising rest is on my mind for the next 3 months... I don't mean to disappear like I usually do in the wintertime, but I don't need to say yes to everything and everyone when some weeks are spent daydreaming about a weekend at home cosying up in front of X Files with a cup of tea!! Thank you for your thoughtful reminders!

Thank you for this video. I really needed this. I've been in arut recently and this has inspired me to be better. We just went to Disneyland and I tried to not overbook ourselves while there and I'm so glad we did it that way. 😊
@AshlynneEatonАй бұрын
Love hearing that 🤍🤍 It’s so easy to overbook trips like that, but keeping things more chill leaves you feeling so much better rested!
