I love a good declutter video!! It amazes me how much stuff I declutter every few months. Its been a while since the beginning of my decluttering process so there’s not a lot of stuff coming in but more stuff that I’ve thought “there’s no way I can declutter this, It’s essential” but then a few months down the road I’m totally ready to part with it. It’s such a good feeling!

Love this one. I needed a little encouragement to refresh our living space. We're getting ready to move at the end of September and I've all but given up on this apartment. I'm going to give it a good clean today and declutter a bunch of things that I have no intention of moving. Great work on all you accomplished, too, Ashlynne!

You found so much to let go! Decluttering is always a constant process. To answer your question, I lost my sunglasses a couple weeks ago. I have missed having them when I drive in the bright summer sun! Today they FINALLY turned up in my violin case. I guess if I would have practiced more, they would have been discovered sooner, haha. PS: Cuisinart makes an incredible wafflemaker!

Whenever I am listening to a podcast or you explain the decluttering process in the background. I am at my home decluttering too. I really like that copper-like bowl that you showed. If you give it to the right person they could reuse it as a planter. Also, I have done something similar with my books Ashlynne, whenever I finish a book I give it to a friend or give it to the library, where they have a book swapping program. Most of the most interesting books I have found are from that program, it is rare that I buy books. If I do buy a book or two I make sure I know it will bring inspiration and usefulness into my life. ♥

For the brass earrings, if you otherwise still like the style, you could go to a chain craft store and purchase a pair of new tassels in whatever color you like and replace them (you just need two sets of flat nose pliers.

Thank you for the inspirational video!! I do have a tip for getting the mold out of the tupperware lids! I noticed mine had a bunch of mold, and I was tempted to get rid of them too, but I decided to soak them in my kitchen sink with a mixture of water and bleach and ALL the mold came off and they look like new!

I am laughing at the "I lost something and found it right after I replaced it" coffee mug segment. I have done that no fewer than half a dozen times. The most notable was the time I searched everywhere for a lip liner I had lost that I had not used in a while but that when I did wear lipstick, I used a lot. I searched for a few weeks and then finally gave in on a Friday night and went out and got a new one. Saturday morning (seriously!) I grabbed a purse I hadn't used in a while out of the closet, put my hand in and... you guessed it... the liner I had replaced 12 hours earlier. It's gotten to a point where I joke, when I have lost something, that "I should just go replace it as that will guarantee that the original will show up in a day or two."

Great video. Always surprises me how much there is to declutter. I need to go through my house again. Nosy question: Is your garage decluttered? I found 3 unused quarts of oil that are over 25 years old and my Hubby has finally agreed I can take them to an auto parts store to recycle. I checked online and quarts of motor oil are only good for a few years.

I have to share my story about losing something! I have two month old twins (a girl and a boy), and I had bought a set of three Harry Potter sleep sacks for them. I think my son wore one of them once and then when they turned a month old, I wanted to use it on my daughter for pictures with a Harry Potter milestone blanket. I could not find it anywhere!! It drove me crazy for literally almost a month. My boyfriend was to the point where he was going to buy the set of three again just so I would stop talking about it. 🤣 A few days ago, I was sitting on the floor in their room and decided to look under their dresser - idk why - but I was like maybe somehow it's under there. IT WAS!!! I have no idea how it got under there! I'm glad we didn't buy the set again, but we seriously almost did. Love your declutters, Ashlynne!

I have a crazy lost item story!! 🤣 I had this two-in-one screwdriver set that had a flexible measuring tape. It was given to me in college from our electric company called SoCal Edison. I loved that thing to pieces. One day in 2020, I lost it! I had brought it to target to measure containers and assumed I had left it there (which doesn’t sound like me but that’s the only logical explanation I could come up with). Well, last month I was helping my mom and her fiancé empty out boxes in her garage. They had moved 2 years prior in 2020 (I helped them with that move). I was going through a box and FOUND MY SCREWDRIVER/MEASURING TAPE!!!! I’m assuming it was mine bc my mom never had one of those. I was so happy to be reunited with it after 2 long years 🤣🤣🤣 I never bought a replacement bc I was so distraught lol

I remember searching everywhere for a library book. We're on the more extreme side of minimalism, so there weren't a lot of places to look. I finally told my library THEY must have lost it, because I sure didn't have it. Several months later, when I was taking a vent out to clean it, I found the book behind it in the wall cavity... not sure how one of my kids managed to get it in there.

I feel guilty getting rid of plants too. If they're dying there's the piece of mind you did what you could to keep it going. Just an idea; I've seen some churches do a fair to raise money for the church; if the plant is in good health you could donate it or if it has a new growth you could replant that and donate

Hi Ashlynne! I have been watching your videos for years, you are one of my favourite youtubers. I especially love your decluttering series, it has greatly inspired me. I just noticed that during your video, you showed some Arbonne products. If you were gifted them and/or genuinely like these products, power to you :) But if you are not aware, Arbonne is an old and extremely predatory MLM, and I would highly discourage buying products from friends/family who are involved in them. While on the surface it may seem like you are just supporting someone's 'business,' it is actually doing the complete opposite. These are terrible companies that trick and scam people into personal and financial ruin, and I would hate to see you get involved in one in any way.
