ORIGIN STORY Ah Hah moment this video is underrated. i'm still watching, maybe do some examples and splice them in? You're smart and right even brilliant but most people need and even more want practical examples not just the theoretical synthesis (smart people want the synthesis, only because we have no time). LOVE YOUR WORK THIS VIDEO IS AWESOME but underrated and now you know why.

I’m a newer copywriter and tears welled in my eyes when you mentioned brand stories being super short/2 lines long. 😂 Mine have been…far too lengthy. Welp, I guess that’s how you learn, right? Thanks for saving a perfectionistic over-thinker some time in her client workflow

Interesting I like what you said l am fixing to release a brand name under 2 registered trademarks. I am not ready to go all out yet. I have been designing and constructing dresses for years now. I started out slowly because I was self taught no training. Then 2001 I started making a lot of clothing that I sold. Under a design name for some people in the United States and one of my designs went to Paris France. I made clothing for a 1960's bebop star and his wife. So thanks for the advice. I am really going to do this on my own. I have a wild imagination and think out of the box type thinking.

Whimsical Visionary forever here methinks! Here’s a simple story. 1. Your latest video pops up. 2. I stop, watch, air high five every 30ish seconds. 3. You leave all of us so much richer than we came. Where I lived in Africa every teachable moment, conflict resolution, and negotiation was almost exclusively handled through strategic storytelling. So grateful for the wisdom they were willing to share.

Hi Ashlyn! I love these tips. curious how you recommend customizing storytelling like this for a product based business that does not sell something wildly innovative. I'm selling candles but my story is more important than the product. How do I help my customers understand that buying these candles will help them without making it sound so literal? does this make sense?
@AshlynWrites2 жыл бұрын
Meghana! You are on the right track, friend! Your story is a KEY component to your audience buying your product. When shaping your brand story I'd keep these things in mind: ~ Your origin story, how it is that you fell in love with what you do ~Your a-ha moment, the moment you saw a need & realized you could fill it by serving your prospect (when did you find the “you” shaped gap in the market) ~ A testimonial or transformation story that your client can see themselves in (someone who has loooved your candles!) Let me know if this helps! xx.

Hi Ashlyn! What tool or service do you use for your quiz? I took it recently and thought it was a very smooth user experience. I have a quiz of my own that I'd like to publish to help people make a decision about whether they should have social media or not. Thanks for considering!

What medium is the best? Writing out a story and putting on your website? Sit infront of a camera and film yourself telling a story? What other mediums can be used with this type of storytelling?
