Love what you do with Ashoken Farewell and have tried to follow your training videos and have very slowly got some sounds that I'm liking. I'm well up in years so fiddling has become quite a bit tougher to learn but your methods are very useful and style is relaxing too. Keep up the fine work.

CInde, YouTUbe is not allowing me to reply directly to you. :-( The first measure goes like this....the letter is the string, the # is the finger: A0 A2 A3----A232 A1 A0 D2 Sorry the camera angle is horrible....it's hard to see.

It's unclear how you're doing the turn. Are you just lifting your second finger up and down quickly? What other fingers are you keeping down?

Mike, I'm so so sorry for my delayed reply. It's probably a moot point by now, and I"m sure you have figured it out. But for people reading this, let me clarify. At about 3:25 in the video, I'm discussing how to use a "turn" as an alternative to slides. The melody begins with A C# D--- B A F#---- So using the Turn, it would go like this: A C# D---- (C#DC#) B A F# The regular melody is framed in , and the turn is framed in (). I hope this helps. Again, apologies for being so dang slow.

@@RedDesertFiddle Oh, I see. You're describing a fall-from-above trill. I've never heard anyone call it a "turn". Makes sense now. Thanks.
