Instead of hopping between apps like a monkey, use it like how a normal user would. For example, Open a game, play for some time and then open some other app. Then switch back to the game and continue playing to see how fast it resumes. Showing a smoother opening animation doesn't really mean that the app state is saved properly and users can immediately start using the app. I have experienced that even though Oxygen OS shows the smooth animation, you have to wait for a second after you open it, to retain the previous state. This issue is no present in Samsung, iPhone or Vivo phones.

Both are equally smooth for me that microsecond difference doesn't matter in real life , and utility wise the ability to add widgets in the lock screen is a game changer in OS category , Its Nothing OS for me

As far as speed they're pretty evenly matched. It just comes down to style of animations and personal preference. I think Nothing OS's are pretty nice and will certainly please most users, myself included, however Oxygen OS has put a little extra attention into the animation styles. It seems to me there's more animation happening across more of the OS with Oxygen.

Actually, I would love a volume bar in the control centre of nothing UI aswell. It will be useful to increase/decrease the volume levels when the phone is in the landscape mode and while watching content, I can easily access it via control centre ☺️

Note: Nothing X app closing animation breaks between 3:14 to 3:18 in Oneplus Nord 4. I thought Oxygen OS 15 animations will match iOS's animation but after noticing this I can say iOS will stay on top in terms of consistency in animation. Definitely animations in One UI 7 and Oxygen OS 15 are smoother but can't say about its consistency.

App opening/closing animation isn't everything. The way OxygenOS is leaning towards bloatware and becoming the next MIUI is concerning. Current OOS users are mostly new users who not understand what OOS was once. Those who prefer clean, minimal, junk free UI NothingOS is the winner.

one more thing animation is dependent on the processor. If the processor is powerful then it can handle the animation easily. But here this nothing phone has a lower performance processor that is why it is not so smooth.

It's true Oxygen OS fells better than Nothing OS. Nothing OS is still immature and there is soo much space for it to get meature enough to compete with other OS's. My guess it might take 3-4 years to fully complete with Oxygen OS or hyper OS but only if Nothing team could come up with more practical, realistic and innovative approach.

I really wish that the "close all" option was at the bottom in the recent apps menu in Nothing OS, as in the Oxygen OS. Nothing OS also doesn't let you manage the devices connected to your mobile hotspot. This is something which I can do even in my OnePlus 7. I wish they would add this feature so that I could selectively block or allow some devices on my hotspot.

The mentioned OEMs uses limited customisation to give the vanilla flavour to its users but still those are not stock, you can say "near stock". Even Pixel UI on Pixel phones aren't stock Android, it's also a skin on the top of AOSP.
