I haven't finished the video yet but these are the same cruel comments that Dina Tokio had to endure for years & years, telling her that her hijab was wrong, she shouldn't wear makeup w/ her hijab, and to just "take if off" for years! and then when she took it off, they STILL got angry. ridiculous. there's more positivity and good in this world, and far more people rooting for you, ash.

What I don’t understand is nobody tells influencers who don’t wear the hijab to wear the hijab but they harass women who are actually wearing it and trying🤦🏻‍♀️ we are all on our own spiritual journey and the most important thing is our intention which should be for God alone. Though I honestly don’t watch too many hijabi youtubers, I know that most channels evolve since the beginning and create other content. I think it’s more when people constantly badger and comment on pictures and videos which are irrelevant to the wearing of the hijab... Like the example sister Ayesha gave where the video was talking about mental abuse which is a MUCH bigger issue and people are missing the point of the video and talking about her makeup instead... I feel the same way sometimes, because people judge too much sometimes. I converted to Islam and wear hijab by my own will and no one forced me, because if someone force I would never do it in protest. Always have women in Instagram or fb or somewhere else who say u wear wrong cloth or u shouldn't post ur pics... So I feel like Islamic community don't support me sometimes and my family and friends mostly Christian and they also don't support me coz they don't like much that I change my style and start to cover my hair. So I feel sometimes that both sides don't accept me. And I feel if I just take off my hijab after that at least half will support me back. But lucky I don't follow that thoughts. It's really difficult to wear modest cloth now days and we do our best already when maybe we will be on new level we can do more, but for today we do our best already. I so much understand you. I can relate to you on the makeup part I Wear makeup to look put together but people would always say or you do it for others but my family thought I was crazy for doing makeup every day in quarantine it just made feel put together and clean!!
