This is the best video about Ashtanga Yoga ,for those who asking how long it takes to reach that level I can say 1 000 times practice it's about 3 years.

i feel a lot better just from doing some of this for 2 weeks, i sleep a lot better, more energy, no aches or pains anywhere i feel more flexible already, but i still have a long way to go with that, but one of the greatest things in my opinion, is it relaxes me and calms me, its so great for getting rid of stress, i think yoga should be intergrated into schools so everyone learns it, the world would be a better place if everyone did this

Three months ago I tried 1 class of yoga for the first time. I was exhausted immediately after the class. But after a little while I was more energetic and happier. Before I knew it I was doing yoga on a regular basis. My advice to any who are afraid of trying yoga. Don't think that you have to completely do the pose on the first try. There are variations to suit everyone's needs. Sometimes it takes a lot of practice before you fully complete an advanced pose.

I used this video and those of Shiva Rea to intensify the routines of Hittleman (resulting in more muscle-toning), and started doing yoga again 5 months ago, and 8 lbs came right off in the first month. I recently started eating well again, and so far I've lost a total of 16 lbs. Again, with NO RELIGIOUS or philosophical pretentions. What an experiment! I've gotten the EXACT SAME results (so far) as last time, with possibly better weight loss since I'm building muscle this time.

Very awesome. I started yoga this semester and we do some of these moves in this video. I love yoga. It teaches me to relax, enjoy the things that my body can do and focus. There was one advanced pose she wanted us to practice (called the crow) on and I got it! I was so proud of myself. Anyone who hasn't tried yoga should try it!

This is awesome! Making yoga is the best way to relax your body and specially have peace of mind. It is said that the one that can control its own mind, can control the entire world. I strongly recommend yoga practice (My favorite: Ashtanga and Iyengar). Namaste.

Inexperienced viewers be advised; these yoga folks might seem skinny. Don't get confused here, because their bodies contain less water than most people; they sweat a lot during the practice. If you have only a half decent body, go for a challenging discipline, just as Ashtanga/Iyengar Yoga or further descendant forms of Krishnamacharia's early 20th century teachings is. Unlimited rewards are waiting for you. I'd love to see more big people to go for yoga cause is for literally *everyone*!

I agree with you regarding the West and yoga practices. You can become certified (6 weeks) on something that is limitless (absurb isn't it). Have my own studio. My students are from the ages 50 to 72 (was the only group to stick around). I learn more from them than the other way around, lol. I have a 72 year old student that could not stand on one foot and now is doing backbends (priceless). We all have our OWN journeys. Gets bumpy at times (that's when we learn). Have a safe trip!

I weighed 200 lbs. I started Yoga from Hittleman's $6 book, ignoring all the "spiritual" stuff, but keeping the breathing and meditation, of course. Within 6 months I dropped 20 lbs doing yoga for 1 hour/day. Then I began eating better as well as doing yoga, and lost another 20 lbs about 6 months later. I easily maintained this ideal weight in this way for over 3 years. I stopped doing yoga and eating properly about 5 years ago, and eventually hit 188 lbs 5 months ago.
